- Each Aeon in honkai star rail tend to have 1 or 2 followers who do so because they believe in the aeon or the path it represents but for the path of elation, the groups that follow them couldnt be more different from one another. The first faction, the masked fools, just want to have fun while the second group, the mourning actors dont even believe in Aha or Elation.
These 2 groups make up the main factions and are considered the fools of elation for they follow the path without knowing where they might ultimately end up. In this video we are going to explore honkai star rail lore that covers the path of e;ation, its aeon and its followers to determine whether or not the path of elation is filled with just doomed fools
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.

Love how Aha became an Aeon for just laughing too hard
Either he has a twisted sense of humour or hes far more aware of what the universe actually is compared to the other aeons who are obsessed with their paths. I mean just look how fast he realized the simulated universe was fake, I bet the real aha has super crazy awareness to the truth of reality

Maybe he is the props and that figure in the background is just a fake to throw people off even more 😂
I saw this one video that stated that the figure behind all those props was Sampo and that he's the aeon of elation.
To be honest, I think he's more of elation's emanator than elation itself.
He can still be a bit chaotic at times but he knows when he's gone too far, like when he brought us to the underworld and he worried about the Trailblazer not waking up because of his smoke bombs. If he was the aeon, he would probably just laugh and walk away without a care in the world.

The end of the video is why I think we’ll see Nihility consume Elation at some point in the story. Maybe the other way around but Nihility is one of the main playable paths so I’m thinking it’ll be the one to stay. They’re as different as Absurdism and Nihilism, which is to say pretty much the same except for positive and negative connotation.
You can only laugh for so long before it just becomes depressing, would love to see that conflict between elation and nihility. Would be a pretty depressing tone overall if the literal god of laughter gave in to nihilism though
Nihility consuming Elation makes sense in a surface level understanding, but they are practically just as different as The Hunt, and the Abundance. Nihility itself is just the belief that everything is meaningless, it isn't strictly pessimism, or Optimism, it's just that. The belief that everything is meaningless, even artificial ones.
Elation on the other hand spawned on the staunch belief that joy, and laughter is the goal in life, by nature that is purely optimism or even toxic positivity, but either way they very much belief in joy as the meaning of the universe. Thus Nihility, and the Elation cannot consume each other as they are not the same in any regard.
@@Maevix3142 Despite how the Mask fools' goals are to resist Nihility, I don't really see a potential conflict between the two as they more or less co-exist. I personally cannot agree on the sentiment of "You can only laugh for so long before it just becomes depressing" as that entails that you were NOT pursuing joy, or laughter but something else and that Joy and Laughter was your only coping mechanism. Elation is NOT that. They staunchly believe that joy is the goal in life, thus cannot really be a coping mechanism.
Comparing Elation to Absurdism is something I never thought of, man.

I just can't believe what I read on twitter. People speculated that hanabi from the masked fools, orchestrating the chaos in penacony.
Just like in xianzhou luofu. There is problems between hunt and abundance path. But it is actually made up by phantylia (destruction path). After that, I go to youtube and wanted to know about the masked fools and elation path.
During the fight, you guys can hear the presence of the aha. He is watching and laughing. Like my pela is dead (during phantylia fight) and he is showing up. Laughing like a psychopath. What a horror.
Thats what makes him scary though in my mind, hes all fun and games until you realize he'll laugh at anything. Even really screwed up and twisted things

I do follow a similar philosophy: Life sucks sometimes, so try to have as much fun as you can. Granted, I don't take it to the extreme, but in a way, I get what the followers of Elation believe in.

Comedy and tragedy share the same face
Laughter occurs when 2 unlike things form a connection in your mind, its a hiccup. Basically the moment you realize 2 opposites are 1, the simple irony. Some examples:
Laughing at the Preservation building it's wall only to enslave it's followers.
Laughing at the Abundance which promises endless life but gives you cancer for eternity.
Laughing at the Nihility which sees all as meaningless and is unable to see the fun that can provide.
Laughing at the Destruction repeatedly smashing its head into a wall.
Laughing at the Rememberance for being trapped in the past.
Laughing at the Hunt because there is always a bigger fish.
Laughing at Aha because Laughing at yourself can be the greatest of joys.
