- Herta's new addition to the Simulated Universe- Gold and Gears presents its story in a very fragmented manner although from many different perspectives. This time the Aeon Nous, The Erudition plays a vital role in the story. Rubert plays a main role with its anti-organic equation. We also get a first look at the Aeon of Equilibrium HooH. After the Swarm Disaster, the IPC expanded rapidly across the universe. Here's my attempt at summarizing the story of Gold and Gears which involves the Aeon Mythus (The Enigmata), Aeon Fuli(The Remembrance) and Aeon HooH(The Equilibrium), Aha(The Elation) as well as three prominent IPC members and the Genius Society. When you have beings that literally are the manifestation of concepts, it’s hard not to be op in the end😂
Except that they only act according to their paths they can't stop it, because the moment they do, they literally won't exist because it contradicts to their nature. The Aeons are literally, extremely one minded in the representation of their paths.

I will say it again and again, the designs of each Aeons are top notched and otherworldly. Their designs pretty much outclasses the other deities in other Hoyoverse games. So far only three Aeons are left without designs, Akivili, Idrilla and Terminus. Hoping that we could see their images soon. I am excited how they will design Terminus since it's describe as "the shapeless prince"
Currently I believe Long, the Aeon of Permance, also lacks a definite design. It's likely he resembles a traditional Asian dragon, but going off the designs of the other Aeons Hoyo might put a unique twist on it.
@@Fullmetal_Gachayeah in the Xianzhou trailer it's design was shown and appears to be lacking however I believe that design is a lot closer to what it would look like in the future, for Idrilla I don't know, but I really like the theory of some people, they said that Idrilla's apperance will be based off how they view beauty. Judging from that I believe Idrilla will look some sort of mirror entity, not to mention one of the factions following Idrilla is called the mirror holders.
it's easy to design something that you don't need to make a 3D model out of, and doesn't have to follow laws of anything, because they are all aliens from different part of the galaxy
in other hoyoverse games they have strict rules to follow, and also most of them are inspired by real life mythology
Don't forget Long too, though we got a bit of them in the Myriad Celestia trailer

I am an avid reader of a lot of material but man I can't be fucked to read all of this in between battles in a game. If they just made a straight up novel compilation it wouldn't be a problem but man its hard to read everything piecemeal.

It's clear. Hoyo wants to be able to keep there lore flexible. Unlike Genshin they literally have the power to retcon their lore at will thanks to Aeons like Mythus and the History fictionologist
The lore of the Aeons are so far the best stories HSR can offer, characters story dosen't really do much for me, but the Aeon's lore, sheesh I feel like a history student wanting to know more about the Aeons.
they can still keep their lore flexible in genshin as well, as long as irminsul exists they can just change what happened in history. it's basically like enigmata

another example of the lore being flexible is that 'history is written by the victor' when you read any books in narukami island about orobashi, you would think that he was an evil god who started a war for no reason and endagered the people of narukami island. but only after reaching watatsumi and enkanomiya would you know that orobashi was actually a good god who cared for his people and sacrificed himself to save his people from celestia. this ia a case of the player not knowing the truth until it is revealed to him. another misconception is that AZDAHA was created by zhongli and the only proof we have for this is the cutscene in which the storyteller says that morax created a body for azdaha and gave him power but in the same cutscene zhongli only says that he gave eyes to azdaha to see the world, this is proven in enkanomiya with a book that mentions that vishaps lose their eyesight as they age and zhongli is the one who azdaha eyesight but his existence was long before zhongli. THE DEVS MAKE IT SO THAT YOU PERCIEVE IT DIFFERENTLY FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE PERSPECTIVE WHICH MISLEADS YOU UNTIL YOU FIND THE TRUTH FOR YOUSELF. @@Rimurusama24 thats not really good analogy tho, because all event you write like Narukami Island, Azdaha. its getting lose and lose the credibillity by people that send this information by mouth to mouth and thus become folklore. People might already found out the truth like what happen to Tsurumi Island. Imagine MHY do what you called "keep their lore flexible in genshin" by changing what happen in Tsurumi Island. is that change anything? is that will change what trully happen to Ruu? no Right? then its useless, Imersul its not a handy tool what so ever that you can use to change the past change. because Scaramouche already did that and nothing happen, the accident still happen, casuality still happen and nothing has been change base on the outcome.

Something very interesting that I remember from the simulated universe story is that Polka attempted to kill Rupert multiple times, but he woke up once again every time until the exact moment that Nous calculated

9:54 - It's much affirmed that that Trailbrazer is variable, a unknown number in a equation that nobody seenms able to predict. Similar how the Traveller is a Descender, someone who posses the will to change, rival, sustain and create a world. And a Witness, someone who sustain and preserve history through their memories.
This same too applies to the Trialbrazer, but with a little twist. While Calleus or Stelle are the ones who have the ability to choose, is the Stellaron that allows to back it such power of change, and break said pretermined fate. Since the beginning of the story, the Stellaron has been mentioned through different characters, pieces of lore, related with factions and even part of the worlds's history.
It's highly possible that Stellaron's chaotic power is what allow such drastical changes. Why? Simple, Stellaron aren't cancer of worlds but actually, a imaginary power that is capable of granting wishes that can change entire lives, bestow power and a link to the Aeons. However, due it still unknown nature, the results are often disastrous.
And here is the proof, mentioned a little list.
+ Alisa Rand used the Stellaron to summon the Eternal Freeze to save Belebog from destruction. And yet it also doomed the entire world in a freeze era.
+ The Ambrosial Tree was able to grow back again thanks to the Stellaron.
+ When the Trailbrazer was stabbed by the Lance of Preservation, this caused for the Stellaron to resonate and allow the Trailbrazer to gain a new Path.
+ When the Trailbrazer caught Nanook's gaze, the Stellaron replied to their wish to defeat the beast. However, this also caused them to go haywire with their power.
+ The Stellaron also offered glimpses of future to the Trailbrazer while they were floating around the plane.
+ Cocolia has been hearing "voices" from the Stellaron, therefore is possible that can be living beings.
+ Even Nanook before being an Aeon had touched an Stellaron.
*TLDR:* Long story short, every form of unpredictable event, was or will be linked through the Stellaron.
I've always had this feeling that everytime trailblazer gets stabbed from the character / npc path they're on, we get that new path.

But people are forgetting when Trailbrazer protected March from the Doombeast's blast, they created a force field, similar how Cocolia also created a force field before ending her own life.
So this power up or gaining a new Path only happens if the Trailbrazer's life is in danger or near death.

I might be stupid, but what if the stellaron is linked to the Enigmata?
@@theofficialclownhq with how Enigmata's "purpose" is to keep things within an enigma, I wouldn't be surprised if it is. Maybe it's also Equilibrium's work to keep _something_ balanced, which influenced Enigmata. Since Stellaron is a very inexplicable, erratic, and unreadable thing, maybe it was to balance something so predetermined and set in stone.
My wildest theory is that it's something that has to do with Finality--because even though finality is, well, final, there will be some people who will try to go against how the "final moment" was supposed to play out. My other wild, baseless theory is maybe Elio is linked to Finality, and that's why he's trying to hunt the stellaron as an unpredictable factor X in "fate".
It's crazy to think most of this happened because Order was absorbed by Harmony (which means all of this is indirectly Aha's fault).
NGL the whole Swarm disaster crisis seems like a cover up plot and the real target was to eradicate Ena in the first place.
Or you can say everything happened, will happened because of HooH for sake of balance

it's really cool that each aeon keeps the other in check, while some aeons can even influence other aeons when their ideals are at stake, like how HOHO can influence qlipoth during swarm disaster and how he influenced aha during the borderstar trade war
All I know now is that Terminus the finality and HooH the equilibrium are the bosses of the universe

@@Clutchassassin Equilibrium not limited to time. That's the neat part. HooH balance all things in the universe including time. Terminus knows all things because they chronologically backward in time. But if terminus do anything in any timeline that imbalance the universe HooH will balance that too.

I don't know why but my only thoughts after watching this video is... Nous would be the Universal Chess Champion for sure
And HooH would only be as good as needed to end in a draw. To achieve Equilibrium, the game would have to end in a draw.

You'd expect that no one in their right mind can make a good God and Goddess story like ancient Greek/Roman/Egypt mythology, but Hoyo really did it.
The good thing about this is that these gods do not need their believers at all.
@@Doflaminguard Yeah and they're manifestation of concepts which is a unique take on gods, so you don't end up with beings of free will going around horrendously like Zeus. These Aeons are a grey area clearly moving based on the concepts they represent.
I have to admit, I love the Aeons of HSR way more than the Archons of Genshin.
Not only are their designs incredibly unique, original and creative, but they are these beings so unbeliavably beyond humanity's comprehension, even their forms and presence can break someone's mind. The Archons by comparison are just "stronger than average" people.
I like the Aeons more too because we have more information about them.
In genshin we do have some backstory, but they feel a bit lacking because the majority of their story is locked behind the Archons war.
It has text heavy but I enjoyed Sumeru story because of this, we could see about King Deshret and Rukkhadevata in a way that we could not with the others.
Are you ok? Why are you even comparing archons with aeons? Archons literally 10% of genshin lore. Abyss, heaven descender etc are the real lore. Hsr highest beings are aeons and genshin highest being is Primordial one.
Archons are super strong with their gnosis, without it they are above average. For example, Venti sliced mountains and turned them into flat plains so his people could live there. Zhongli created an island chain by dropping spears from heaven.

HooH really does feel like the capital 'G' God of HSR, they were pulling the strings behind the Swarm disaster too.
But It's also a problem
Actually Terminus was the one who orchestrated that entire crisis and HooH is making sure all forces are balanced. It's also note worthy that Terminus was the reason why Tazzyronth became an Aeon and also Nanook ascension to Aeonhood thanks to the swarm invading his home planet.

they can't be orchestraing anything, only giving out info of what will happen in the future like how we are writing diary of what happened in our past
The event was realy fun, and the lore behind it is amazing. Really hyped for the next SU expansion, and what story they'll expand on next
Tbh even in fb groups and even here in UA-cam, they didn't show the enigmata and equilibrium and the lore that I wanted, since hsr are not working on my 64gb
I bet it is going to be a story of previous Pencony era which used to be a jail planet until Xipe come around and with that, the next playable path in SIMU will be Harmony!

I like how the stories of Swarm Disaster, Borderstar Trade War and birth of Nanook are interconnected. When war breaks out, even though that war may come to end, it may lead to new conflicts once again.
Makes you wonder how HooH will respond when Jingliu and Luocha's plan to kill Yaoshi works. Will another Aeon then be raised somewhere else? Would that end up being Ruan Mei? It may be a better idea in the future to destroy HooH so those tragedys cannot happen again jist to balance the universe. Then, we'd have to take a closer look at Finality if everything has already been ordained. Us the Trailblazer would be able to override the set future.
I assume Luochas motives to kill yaoshi have something to do with something in his coffin. Maybe he want to replace yaoshi to be aeon itself to revive someone in the coffin.

@@odintakerprime6595HooH isnt the one that keeps off Aeons. Tayzzyronth, IX and Nanook are results of HooH's interference, just like how Ena is absorbed by Xipe with the help of Aha. HooH kills and breeds Aeons.
@@Doflaminguard not exactly, HooH interfere with the Aeons when the scale is tipped. Should one force overwhelmed the other, HooH will take it from there. What I mean to say is that because of the influence Equilibrium, none of the Aeons have yet to create a catastrophe like the Swarm disaster. I'm only pointing out Nanook and Aha because they are problematic while in truth, HooH is keeping everyone in line for the sake of balance.
We got TWO massive aeon lore drops in all of version 1. I really hope version 2 will also feature 2 SU updates with 2 new aeons we're tracking. With the introduction of Argenti my guess would be that Idrila's next with information about the Mirror Holders. And hopefully we also get Ena and Xipe's aeonic lore now that we're heading into Penacony.

Nah, based on the aeon order from index, Xipe is listed after Nous which mean we will most likely going to learn more about Pencony history in the next SIMU expansion (which align well with the fact that 2.0 updates from onward will mainly be about Penacony).

Ena's details are presented in Xipe's followers: wings, eyes and etc.
5:58 Mythus really turned De Wayne into Sisyphus.
I imagined Mythus appeared in front of De Wayne while he's climbing the mountain of resources and Mythus curled up a ton of money, gold and materials into a giant ball and pushed it towards De Wayne, then De Wayne has no choice but to push the giant ball forward to reach the Cast Iron Throne.

These simulated universe expansions have been by far the most enjoyable parts of the game for me personally. Their gameplay is always fun and the lore is definitely the most interesting in the game. The Aeons never miss, in designs or story.
Polka is one of the most interesting characters in the genius society, i hope we get to know more about her in future lore events

It is Polka's own doing. She singlehandedly erased every portrait of hers from the universe.

also the reason why Mythus acsend into Aeon was to stop Nous calculation but Nous have already calculated the acsend of Mythus so I don't think Trailblazer action can effect the calculation of Nous

its crazy, swarm disaster was a big disaster. without ena many disasters are happening one of them is gold and gears. Hooh tries to fix everything but they need to balance everything which comes in a conclusion of destruction. i cant see whos the strongest whos not, is it the abundance the remembrance the destruction the enigmata the voracity the propagation the preservation theres so many.
Love to see people not playing whale simulator in GnG and actually make videos on lore.
Also this was a lot more to digest compared to Swarm Disaster.
Maybe, just maybe, Preservation is not as good it appears to be. I mean it's whole idea is to preserve everything in the universe, that might also include preserving the chaos and destruction (not completely the path) and IPC is like the perfect front for that, since it can simultaneously play as the bad guys and the saviours.
Also, i think the anti-organic equation playes a big role and has influenced Nous significantly which might be why it can never truly account of Trailblazer and their actions cause they are not organic or inorganic... like they have a flesh and blood but their life and soul is through a stellaron and they aren't exactly an android-ish entity like Xueyi, who happenes to have a past and thus can be predicted by Nous and such.

No it was the swarm's doing. Propagation destroyed nanook's planet and around the time of gold and gear's events, he ascended to aeonhood

The Anti organic equation reminds me of Order 66 in Star wars
Pokka Kakamond is Kafka is eerily similar in the way that they kill because they follow some script. And Kafka even know Pokka but doesn't know the other ones above her number (when you interact with the portrait in the tutorial mission).

Makes you think about whose orders or predictions Polka Kakamond is actually following. And what was her purpose behind erasing her portraits. Is she attempting to outsmart/outpace Remembrance or something? There's no indication that this woman is part of the Stellaron Hunters, so who and what goal is she working for if she's not following Destiny's Slave for a better future? Only time will tell.
Enigmata's riddle is funny. Both could be an answer to "What is the Flash of Red Acheron mentioned", and currently, the only person even able to ask that question is a Nameless...

Elation is the contradiction of the order
The preservation is the contradiction of destruction
Erudition is the contradiction of the enigmanta
Elation - nihility
Life is meaningfull - life is meaningless
Ironically both have a faction who want to prove that their aeon is wrong. The Mourning Actor and The Doctor of Chaos

Nihility I think makes more sense against rememberance cuz IX is ever expanding and devouring worlds and memories as they go since they think life is meaningless. Rememberance on the other hand is able to preserve those memories and they think life is defined by those memories
Definitely pulling for polka kakamond if mihoyo decided to make her playable. I wasn't paying full attention throughout playing whole gold and gears, but herta and screwllum mentioning polka pique my curiosity
SPOILER ALERT FOR PENACONY´S 2.0 STORY:
With Acheron having a blood oath, emphasizing that "There will be blood" and having her dialogue written in bloody red while we also saw her creating black lotus flowers when she attacked SAM, i now wonder if she could be connected to Enigmata´s riddle

Can you make a video about Jingliu and Ruan Mei, one wants to destroy an aeon, and other wants to become one, (what if she'll be an aeon of Creation? That's an opposite of Destruction and Finality).

So basically the story of this game mode is Terminator: Space Skynet
The existence of Mythus (Aeon of Enigmata) makes it whole more confusing as in 2.2 when we discovered that Gallagher is a follower also of the enigmata as he is a History Fictionologist, he even made his entire existence false.
I hope we get to see Idrila in next simulated universe.

Louis Fleming's appearance, Fuli's appearance with those forbidden past memories, and how it made Intelligentsia Guild find out about those 3 revelations.
Also, did Enigmata somehow influenced Polka Kakamond about what she has to do or..? (I know this one sounds stupid lol but I didn't get how she found out about what she has to do)

Fuli appears at decisive moments in time to memorize those moments. He appeared at the last known appearance of The IPC's founder. Since he's the Aeon of Remembrance, his presence forces forbidden past memories into appearing. @@xixoxender9248 in the ordo quest what i didn't understand was why Rene was still trying to save Fontaine when it was already saved in the main story line. And that quest is connected to Fontaine's main story. But here the problem is I cannot relate to this story properly because it has no connection (as of now) to the main story. I think Star rail in general doesn't have a proper story. The mc doesn't even know who they are and doesn't even have an aim of some kind....

@@harshit.53bacause rene was in the primordial sea water. Didn’t know what happened. Dialogue change if you play ordo quest before or after AQs. Rene predicted narwhal and the prophecy through his world formula. When we wake him up and beat him he immediately knew that we already beaten the narwhal and talk about the unknown variable (us). If you do the ordo quest before rene correct his formula and again predict that we will beat the narwhal. The fact he managed to predict this much even tho he was mortal show how much big brain he was.
