Great update and glad you're doing well. I have neck procedure end of this month with TOC and gave my A rider buddy my bike to ride in the WORN series until his new bike comes in. Hope to see you soon.

Are you concerned that the 2025 FX will have less bottom end torque? That seems to be the reports on the '24 motocross bike that it will be based on (250F)? Maybe not as much of a concern for GNCC style racing?
@@GNR325 Thanks for watching! Yeah, I’d like to ride a 24 250F but haven’t had the opportunity yet. The engine is mostly the same except for timing chain components so it should be interesting to see how it compares. I do like the fact that it’s much narrower up front.
@@DirtBikingwithDonnie From what I have watched the thinking is that the changes to the air box to bring in more air has improved mid and top end but has cost bottom end. The moto guys don't seem to like that they can't carry 3rd through some corners anymore. Check out some of the online tests. Sounds like the 450fx may be more rideable in the woods now for the same reason I guess.

Hi Donnie, I've been enjoying watching your videos! I'm new to dirt bikes but not motorcycles (I road race sports bikes). I'm looking at the 20/21 and the 22/23 yz250fx's and I know that you have both. Is the 22+ considerably better in your opinion? And is the extra cost of a 22 worth it? Thanks in advance and keep getting better!
They are virtually the same bike. The 2020 model did need a ECU reflash at the dealer to remedy the slow start/plug fouling issue, so if you get a 2020 be sure to ask the prior owner if that reflash has been done. Otherwise, the 22 and up models got a minor update to the counterbalancer to reduce vibration at high RPM, but it's very minor. You would have to ride both back to back to tell a difference. You can't go wrong looking for the best deal for any of those model years.
