Nice gameplay man! The deck is really missing the extra Embercleaves. Without the ability to consistently draw an Embercleave your creatures are left without that extra punch that usually drives the hammer home and gets the win!
Yeah, definitely! Embercleave wins a lot of games, whether it's on an Anax, Bonecrusher Giant, or even a Rimrock Knight! I'm hoping when the decks are released they'll drop in price so I can add at least 2 to the deck with the budget upgrades. I'll definitely be monitoring the prices of those lading up to release. :)
Just saw your video. Thank you for posting, but next time please shock before damage is dealt and then block with torbran. It would have changed the last exchange between the ooze and torbran. Thank you again for your video
Yeah, it's crazy how long Mono-Red has been good in Standard! I remember when everyone thought it was going to die to rotation after Hazoret rotated out, but then Goblin Chainwhirler and Rekindling Phoenix kept it alive. And now both of those cards are gone and it's STILL relevant. Surely it dies next rotation, right? It can't survive losing Anax, Torbran, and Embercleave, can it!? 🤣 I guess we'll see.
@@AffinityforMTG Dude, that was a great analysis and mini-history of the deck. Initially, I didn't think Embercleave would be the hit it turned into. I'm still shocked when it blows out a game. I still haven't done any actual games with it. I'd rather not pay more than $5 for one. Maybe if the current deck is only $20 I'll pick some up. Still more likely to get the green deck (that's just how I roll). 😃 👍

Great video these challenger deck vids are my favorite of the whole year , love the vids and keep em coming
Glad you like them! I've got 2 more gameplay videos, and "which deck should you buy" video, and the upgrade guides, so plenty of more on the way! :)
@@AffinityforMTG can't wait
Shouldn't you have used Shock on the Ooze after Torbran blocked.
I could have, but they could respond and eat the 2 creatures in graveyard to make it a 9/9, so it would have survived. :(
Good list for a precon deck.
Yeah, if you like Mono-Red Aggro the deck is solid! :)

Yeah, its kinda disappointing this was basically a reprint. It's also kinda expected since its still the boogeyman.
