I so wish I had heard this before I filled out my ballot? Luckily, I still like my choices, but this is so helpful! I will seek something like this out the next time before an election. And what an articulate and well informed professor! Many thanks. 18:16
Thanks for the information! Good recap but unfortunately there is bias coming through in the way the facts were discussed. I think it is difficult but thanks for the effort!!
Growing your own is illegal now. The amendment doesn't change that. You can make a good argument that we should be able to, but you can't say that the amendment makes it illegal.
Why would anybody want to vote for smoking of any kind when so many have worked so hard to rid stop smoking cigarettes. Bringing smoking of any kind is wrong. It was a difficult habit to break. Second hand smoke if any kind very bad for the public.
Not a great explanation of cons. I was originally going to vote yes on 3 & 4. When I read it myself, I realized that 3 has wording that restricts any legislative control on the use of weed. People will have a state constitutional right to smoke it out in public. Also, the black market for illegal weed laced with fentanyl isn’t going anywhere. It will still be on the streets just like it is in Cali and Colorado. More kids are dying there than before they made weed legal. On 4, the wording takes away a parent’s right to consent and replaces it with the right of notification. It also has the vague wording of “up to viability”. That is not an agreed upon time even in science. Most importantly, the amendment also eliminates the requirement of a medical doctor to perform the procedure. It changes it to a medical professional. An EMT is a medical professional……that good enough.? These amendments might be good in overthought but the details as to how they were written leaves way too much room for abuse.
Non-smoking areas will remain it doesn't matter what's being smoked. Also EMTs do not have training to perform an abortion that's a bad faith argument. Doctors usually perform them but a nurse practitioner who is trained can as well which is why they say medical professional
Great info, thank you for breaking this down so we can actually understand the legal jargon they put on our ballot.

I will stay respectful unlike you. My values obviously are far different than yours.
I will be respectful unlike you. I would rather be a sheep than a zombie.

No 3 Also removes all liability from the seller, which is crazy.
“Pros and cons “ and “facts or fiction” are not interchangeable terms.
Doesn't allowing recreational pot allow smoking it in public places. Restaurants, beaches, etc
Public places that are non-smoking now will remain non-smoking it doesn't matter what's being smoked
"some other terrible drug"? Does that infer Marijuana?
I voted early in Duval county today and the election employees were so rude! The atmosphere wasn’t good.
I can imagine... glad to be in nassau county now
this "teacher" did'nt say anything about #3 .. Be able to "GROW your OWN"?? if passed you will NOT leagally be ABLE to.

I agree but there’s more than one delivery system for pot. Vape pens, edibles, etc.
