I don't think most people understand how technically amazing Tony was as a vocalist. The end of that song is incredibly difficult to perform the way Tony did it. Truly amazing!
Tony’s music will never end. What a treasure. Although he’s now suffering from Alzheimer’s at 95, he still sings beautifully and connects with the music. God bless you, Tony.
First heard Tony sing at the age of 10... am now 71... his voice continues to fascinate my senses... truly I shall love this man now and forever... RIP, Mr. Anthony Benedetto❤😢😢
If ever there was a song owned by it's performer IMO this is the one for Anthony Benedetto! Bravo Tony Bennett! No one sings this song the way you do....no one!
@Nonie Light well, together? is it good, or do they get in way of each other? Tony owns this song, but i should hear Aretha, right in her range, and probably right up there with the best renditions. how could it not be?
When I heard this I was driving my car. I had to pull over till it finished. Blown away !…. I had this song in my head for a month……. I can’t imagine anybody else singing it … An unbelievable recording Tony!…. Take another bow!
This man just got better and better with age. I am so blessed that I have always been his fan forever. I am now 85 and he is in his 90's. My first 78 record was his Stranger in Paradise way back when.
Even with a bad recording Mr Benedetto is the Best there ever Was! He’s An Angel on Earth! God Bless you Tony! You are my Favorite personality on Earth! Thanks for making life a little better!
Tony Bennett is such an amazing artist!!! I will never forget the wonderful concert I was fortunate enough to witness!!! He was absolutely superb!!! He actually sang a song without a microphone, just his voice to fill an auditorium!!! It was amazing!!! ☮️🖖🏽
Gone are the days when songs such as this one were commonly heard. Today's music is simply noise, dont entertain me at all. Call me old fashioned, amen.
I don't think that, I'm 40 and I find myself listening to this type of music more than todays and if I be honest this song made me cry when I first heard it
No way for one to say inequivocally which of Mr. Bennett's live performances of this Legrand/Bergman classic has been the very best. However, keeping repeated track on the many on UA-cam, am pretty confident that this particular one is the rendition that set the standard -- for himself and for other great interpreters out there.
The quality is excellent; the performance does me very nicely. Thanks for posting this clip. Tony's phrasing is perfect. Notice the double bass player is also timing his phrasing with Tony, he is not reading sheet.
Masterful Tony with another Rembrandt Bergmans song with Ralph Sharon on piano & conducting the Orchestra while playing 'a touch of Heaven on earth'...
I've been listening to this man since (I was in middle school and) he sang "Starnger in Paradise" and his voice never waivers. His diction is perfect and delivery superb. Once I start listening, I never get enough.
I have been listening to Tony the great for some 50 years now....heard him in Carnegie Hall several times, but I have never heard him ever sing better than he does here...a truly spectacular performance!
Saw him September 2014 live in Vienna. It was fantastic. After all this years, he is still amazing! And the best Performance was, when He sang without Mikrophone
I have heard of him from my father...that he used to belong to the rat pack. A group of great singers...like Frank...Samy Davis Jr. And Dean...but I admired more Tony when I saw him on a special tv with Lady Gaga...even with Alzheimer's and he sang Beautifully. I cried to see him. Am 51 and hope to keep trying like him.
There is a great performer!! Why haven't I ever heard this love song? I had a failing marriage 🌹 I lost myself in it 🌹 I never failed in anything School jobs and even raising my children. However I could not convince my x husband to continue to love me ❤️❤️ once we really had to work harder at it 🎶 I tried he didn't. So I guess like Tony says the most important question that all of us need to ask ourselves is when we are in love how do we keep the music playing? After all I've been through regarding love ❤️ that question will always be a stumbling block for me 🌹🎶🌹😘
I know the way I feel for you is now or never The more I love, the more that I'm afraid That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever If we can be the best of lovers Yet be the best of friends If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows With any luck than I suppose The music never ends
If there was no Frank, Tony would be the greatest singer of the American Songbook, but Tony was Sinatra's favorite singer so you can't beat that. Thanks Tony.
It's easy to understand why Frank Sinatra called Tony the best singer around. That's a great compliment from anyone, but especially from a legend like Mr. Sinatra.
Tony has always been a class act and seems to put everything he has into his songs. I was fortunate to see him in concert in 2002 and again in 2017 and he was magnificent. I hope I can see him again, one day, before he stops performing.
I FIRST HEARD THIS SUPER BERGMAN/LEGRANDE SONG FROM THE MOVIE "BEST FRIENDS" WITH GOLDIE HAWN AND BURT REYNOLDS. I WANTED TO SING/RECITE IT FOR MY WIFE AT OUR 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY BUT WE NEVER HAD A CELEBRATION. I HAVE THE JOHNNY MATHIS CD OF BERMAN/LEGRANDE COMPOSITIONS AND I JUST MADE PLANS TO ATTEND A MATHIS CONCERT AT CHAUTAUQUA. I',M HOPING HE'LL INCLUDE IT IN HIS REPERTOIRE. TB'S VERSION IS # ONE.

What more can i say? BRAVO!!!
@@rodolfonestorkilayko634 He is Once in a lifetime
He lived a life that most of us wished for. RIP Tony. Your music is ur legacy 💔💔🕊️🕊️
First heard Tony sing at the age of 10... am now 71... his voice continues to fascinate my senses... truly I shall love this man now and forever... RIP, Mr. Anthony Benedetto❤😢😢
One of the Very Best Vocalists in the history of American music. A true Treasure 👍

Rest In Peace Tony...nice meeting you in New York...in 2009...and saw you live in Cork 2010...you were awesome !!!!!!!

I love this song..how bittersweet love can be, as time passes. Pray that it endures. That is the beauty.
This song sung by the great Tony Bennett brings tears to my eyes. A beautiful love song ever.❤❤
Gwyneth here again. I saw Tony sing this song at the Festival Hall in London many years ago but it seems like yesterday. Unforgettable. Thank you Tony
When I heard this I was driving my car. I had to pull over till it finished. Blown away !…. I had this song in my head for a month……. I can’t imagine anybody else singing it … An unbelievable recording Tony!…. Take another bow!
Try the duet with Aretha.
A great rendition with plenty of feeling. One of Tony's best!
This man just got better and better with age. I am so blessed that I have always been his fan forever. I am now 85 and he is in his 90's. My first 78 record was his Stranger in Paradise way back when.
Wonderful keepsake
This song must be listed as one of the all-time greats!!! ( and God created music in order that man could always have a song in his heart!!! )
Even with a bad recording Mr Benedetto is the Best there ever Was! He’s An Angel on Earth! God Bless you Tony! You are my Favorite personality on Earth! Thanks for making life a little better!
he owns it, for sure. heartfelt, sublime, tear-inducing, thank you forever, Tony. forever you own this song.
The Art of Excellent, so aptly title. He loved to sing and showed ingenuously that he loved his audiences.
Phenomenal rendition at 60 Year Old! He does an amazing performance of this song at 85 in England!
Tony Bennett is such an amazing artist!!! I will never forget the wonderful concert I was fortunate enough to witness!!! He was absolutely superb!!! He actually sang a song without a microphone, just his voice to fill an auditorium!!! It was amazing!!! ☮️🖖🏽

So good to hear Tony's fine vocals of a wonderful song.
The quality is excellent; the performance does me very nicely. Thanks for posting this clip. Tony's phrasing is perfect. Notice the double bass player is also timing his phrasing with Tony, he is not reading sheet.
The music never ends...thank you, Tony...met you many years ago in Raleigh, N. C.
FABULOUS C5 TENOR. UNBELIEVABLE TO HIT THOSE NOTES. TONY I LOVE YOU.
UNBELIEVABLE TENOR.
Masterful Tony with another Rembrandt Bergmans song with Ralph Sharon on piano & conducting the Orchestra while playing 'a touch of Heaven on earth'...
Has there ever been a more beautiful song written! How many tears and broken hearts have spoken these words 💔
Not to disagree. Still, it seems rather a tribute and awareness of love in truest fashion, as does Shakespeare's Sonnet no. 116.
I saw TB on his birthday in August with the NC Symphony. It was an amazing Concert ~
he's so perfect one the greatest voices ever a true Legend
Yes.
That really was beautiful by one of my favorite artists! Thank you, Tony!
What a fantastic version of a great song by a legend.
I've been listening to this man since (I was in middle school and) he sang "Starnger in Paradise" and his voice never waivers. His diction is perfect and delivery superb. Once I start listening, I never get enough.

The ultimate crooner!
Tony is a phenomenal singer.
When you get up there, the Angels will ask you to sing it for them
A few other UA-cam videos have Tony performing this classic. This is the best.
Wow! The best.
Tony Bennett, Timeless ❤️❤️❤️

It's easy to understand why Frank Sinatra called Tony the best singer around. That's a great compliment from anyone, but especially from a legend like Mr. Sinatra.
Sinatra was never in the same league as Tony Bennett.
Tony has always been a class act and seems to put everything he has into his songs. I was fortunate to see him in concert in 2002 and again in 2017 and he was magnificent. I hope I can see him again, one day, before he stops performing.

Espetáculo !
Rest in Power, Mr. Bennett. 😢
Never heard this the quality is good enough !!!
Nat King Colę, kontynuacja klasa i kultura😘👌💕😍✌️😊☺️👍👍✌️
He actually sings it better at 90 with Aretha
El más grande!!!
I think that vocal excersize at the end spoils the whole beautifully song. That's why I bought the Sinatra version.
