Layoffs on the table for Thornton Township with government shutdown looming, supervisor warns

Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard warned the township will be left with dire choices, including layoffs, if it continues to operate without without approving insurance policies.
The comments come as trustees Carmen Carlisle and Chris Gonzalez continue a boycott of meetings. However, Gonzalez did show up to the township hall earlier that day as the electoral board oversaw objection hearings.
