It's such a joy to discover the whole boogiepop world. I love it, I want to call this genre Urban Supernatural, it fits right in with Durarara and Monogatari
If you liked durarara I highly recommend baccano! If you haven't seen it or read the LNs plus both of those series are made by the same author and both reference each other.

Animes like these that require more attention and thinking is rare to have in these days... We should be cherishing it.... Sad that most people these days just prefer the fanservice and action more...
@Mein Ehr, Mein Loyalität KoroGro surprisingly the manga has changed the tone a lot more due to the handling in the aftermath of ensuing events if the anime continues to adapt it the whole action sequences will become much rarer for at most 1/3 of the season meanwhile more of the conflicting inner thoughts of the characters will expand.

Goddamn, I love MYTH&ROID. They always manage perfection. Between this and Uverworld doing Promised Neverland's OP it's gonna be a good season for music.
I really thought Boogiepop was a stupid name (kinda still do), but I'm glad I watched it. It's fantastic, from the mysterious atmosphere and visuals to the nonlinear storytelling that connects at multiple points to being absolutely out there in imaginative thinking to having MYTH & ROID doing the opening. This is a rare type of anime you don't get to see often.
As someone who never read the books but only watched the Boogiepop Phantom anime(which is apparently anime original stuff but also canon), it's good to see a recognizable character in the form of Nagi Kirima, other than Boogiepop.
Boogiepop Phantom happens between the first volume (the Manticore case) and the second, and its canonical despite being an original story, so now we can see more about Boogiepop following the novels
I know people don't like the character designs. But I personally like the character designs. (Only complaint is that the glasses girl's braid are gone.)

The ost also is absolutely splendid so far, I’m loving it. Really nice blend of pop and ambient sounds.
