I don't think that the other shows will break out of the "generic OP"-boundaries and Kokkoku's OP is suprisingly good in succeeding with the attempt, it is nearly perfect. In the end you can't decide which is "best" because it always depends on the personal preferences and taste. ;)

Please do elaborate what about it is "mediocre" because so far its doing its exposition well, from multiple sources who aren't 100% experts themselves so there's room for info growth. There's a good amount of drama and world building. We have no dumb teenage antics/humor. Only real complaint (which is minor) is that they really need to do their previews better. Since its pointless to have cliffhangers when you show that so-said character is doing alright in the preview.

Crunchyroll nominations are trash, don't really care because their awards means nothing. 2016 are horrible especially, gay on ice almost grab all the awards despite there's better anime that could've won.
