I don't think the only problem with this knife in Germany is the one hand opening. It also locks in place!
The ribs for the thumb are called "gymping" in English btw...
The lock and the one-hand opening are the main points for not being legal to carry in Germany, correct.

The Red Alox Hunter Pro has no opening hole, though can in fact be opened one-handed.
Many people still do buy lock blades, though illegal. I bought a Red Alox Hunter Pro in a shopping mall near my house in Haifa, which had three stores selling lock blades. Illegal, but if you keep it in your rucksack until out in nature, hiking or camping, no one cares. But clipped to your pocket in town--not good.

It's so weird, how german law about pocket knives doesn't prevent random "refugees" to stab people with a chef knife !

After using cold steel knives i am afraid to bring it in my mind. After
Talking with the victorinox hunter pro users they have an issue with blade play.
I don't blame victorinox they are quality maker's and world famous brand.
But it's quite irritating to send the knife to the company to fix it.
