Haha that’s awesome. I can tell you from personal experience that it takes “the wife” a while to understand that the more inventory you buy, the more money you can make on a given date. It took my wife a long time to stop 🛑 giving me trouble about buying stuff. She’s clearly finally on board! For a bit I actually had to secretly buy new inventory to not get in trouble. All the best to you SLange!
Dear Rental Guy, I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate your UA-cam channel and the valuable information you share with your viewers. Your dedication to providing detailed and informative content on all aspects of renting is truly remarkable, and I have learned so much from watching your videos. Your passion for helping renters is evident in every video you create, and I am grateful for the time and effort you put into your channel. Keep up the great work, and please know that your hard work is making a real difference in the lives of your viewers. Thank you for everything you do.
Definitely very inspiring. I’m thinking of starting my party rental business I’ve been watching your videos and I’m truly motivated me thank you very much🙏🏼
I’ve watched your channel for a couple years now. Finally got my photobooth together at the beginning of this month! Already booked it for multiple weddings with my DJ service
Lee, I really appreciate your videos man! My wife and I are taking over an existing rental business coming up on 4/1. Its a local outfit that has been in the community for 20+ years. We're really excited but nervous at the same time and watching your videos has really help calm the fears! You make things easy to follow and the information you share especially on the day to day business side is priceless! Thank you! Here's to the upcoming party season!
Been DJing for 5 years and came across your videos recently, got a couple pop up tents now and just received a quote for my first 100 chairs + tables. I already have a booking for them in September. Thanks for the inspo and great advice!
Great video! I've been thinking of starting party rentals for a while (sister is a florist and have helped set up many weddings/events). Love how focused you are on expanding
Love your videos! We're taking your advice and are well on our way to bookings. We don't, however, have a warehouse space quite yet and have been looking for insurance solutions / products to protect our assets in the case of damage, theft or otherwise. Can you make a video about the boring insurance stuff, what you considered when it came to selecting insurance, scenarios maybe you've had to use it and what you'd recommend to people with mid-size inventory / when it would be wise to get it? Thanks for the consideration!
Just get liability insurance when you feel that your big enough. I never got insurance until I went into a commercial location. Take an extea 10% RPP to cover damages. Realistically you won’t be dong a claim every time something comes back damaged. Here ya video about RPP 👉🏻 ua-cam.com/video/-yVtcIIO2so/v-deo.html
Would you be open to one on one trainings. I live in California. My dad has a party rental business, but I would like to help and expand the business. Thank you for your time.
How were you handling your SEO when you were based out of your home? I know Google has cracked down on this and for someone starting out, a warehouse is not the easiest option. As ever, great content!
In a previous video about securing a canopy you showed a " key fit tool" for an impact drill for putting in ground stakes. Where can I buy one and does it have a specific name? Thanks..
Hello Lee! Thank you for sharing all your progress with details. It is so encouraging. I recently started a rental business using my garage as well. I have a fair amount of chair covers, few stackable chairs and 20 tables. I am looking for ways to advertise. Any suggestions is welcome. I am on Marketplace for now. I noticed that stackable chairs are not rented often. I was wondering where I can get foldable chairs not too pricy. Thanks for reading and replying.
It is unlikely that you will get folding rental chairs for very cheap. It is worth the investment to pay full price because they will pay for themselves in the first 8 rentals. Then you will be able to reinvest and keep reinvesting. Eventually you’ll have everything that you have ever wanted and extra money to live day to day comfortably on top of the profits that are recycled into more inventory.
Also, advertising works great on marketplace when you don’t have a lot of things so people don’t go to a website without much inventory and leave due to you not having exactly what they are looking for. Here’s a video I made 3 years ago about google Vs facebook advertising. ua-cam.com/video/mXB2y9YSiDQ/v-deo.htmlsi=-9UQEMWEjqrpdsqe
Always love your videos lee . Do you have a press machine for your linens? I’m having issues with polyester linens so wrinkled after washing and drying even in perm press option
Thanks for the update. Great to see you're going so well. In part because of your video I ended up buying some Snaplock dance floor back in Feb. I got 16 pieces (15ft x 15ft). It's only been out a couple of times but I think that was because I bought it late in the season. I've had 2 enquiries for larger dance floors. I'm wondering if 15x15 is a bit small? What size do you normally do? I'm charging $550 delivered for that one.
Whats up man! Watch all your videos! i have a few high peak frame tents 20x20. Just got a solid gig at the beach for $2,500 each weekend for a 20x40. Only thing is they need it set up on the beach! have you ever set them up on sand? Do you think the 750 LB blocks would be good for that? Any info helps...Thank you!!
My fellow UA-camr @theeventguy and myself made the blueprints, cnc’d the plywood and built the letters on video. We then started a store selling the blueprints and coaching people to start a marquee letter business. Here’s one on the videos I made 👉🏻 ua-cam.com/video/bvsqvOZRAAA/v-deo.html
Little Van = Little deliveries Transporting multiple staff to tent installs Runner vehicle for forgotten items Main winter vehicle With a small trailer on the back it really shines while cutting the gas costs! Yes, we already do some centrepiece rentals. However it’s more than a hobby that just breaks even to round out the business for a better experience for the wedding customers.

As my garage continues to fill up. I just tell my wife. Do not worry Lee told me to do it.

Lee, do you find buying the linens is better than sub renting via one of the national companies?

Sorry for the late reply. 15x15 is my most popular size for marquee tents.
What or where you check the auctions?

Can I purchase the cut pieces from you and do the assembly myself on the letters?
Not currently. We are only selling the blueprints right now.
How to install booqable on your website I've been trying for two months and I haven't been able to?

How did that go????
@@OmarCastillo-kh2ww actually worked out pretty good in the sand. We got lucky and it wasn’t a windy day. Used 3 foot stakes, they held well.
Where you buy the marquees number/ letters????
My fellow UA-camr @theeventguy and myself made the blueprints, cnc’d the plywood and built the letters on video. We then started a store selling the blueprints and coaching people to start a marquee letter business.
Here’s one on the videos I made 👉🏻 ua-cam.com/video/bvsqvOZRAAA/v-deo.html
Where you buy your tents
Special Event Sales.
How much damaged items do you get returned from customer pickup and setup? Is it worth it?
