Two reasons I love watching international vanlifers: getting to see fascinating, off-the-beaten-path places, and learning useful new words like "glipe." 😆😆 Hot soup on a mountain top sounds brilliant! Nourishing, hydrating, *and* warming all at the same time -- yes, please! Hiking was also a trudge for me -- until I discovered Nordic walking poles. It brings in using your upper body into locomotion. It's like walking in 4-wheel drive! Still a workout, but your legs do appreciate the help. ❤️❤️😎👍xx
77 yr. old Bruce from Northern Canada;== as always, you two are a breath of fresh air.== Love Keely's honesty.== Flat land hiking is the best.== There is only now, enjoy.== Will you two later in time, put this in Doc form???
We love you guys so much, Vicky is so like you Keeley with the hating hiking. We have literally never summited a mountain together because of it but I am hoping this video will give her some inspiration. Well done for doing the hike, you both totally smashed it 🧡🧡🧡
First climb I ever did, Mount Brandon, my friend pulled out a flask with hot soup and I was SO jealous……didn’t even know you could get flasks that small. 20years later I still have the flask I bought the following week. Hot soup is a necessity on the top of a mountain!!
Yes, I love soup at the top! You should go to Zakopane in Poland and walk the two hour trail up to Morski Oko. That’s not even the top of a mountain but after two hours of walking in the cold, they sell delicious and hot borscht and apple pie as your reward☺️
Hot soup on top of the mountain is definitely a thing in Greece. In fact many refuges prepare fasolada (a tomato bean soup) for all the hikers. I'm with you on that one!!!
Fantastic vlog as usual. Keely, your achievement was amazing. I would have been crying and ordering a helicopter to take me down. Often the descent is more difficult, especially on the knees. You are both so relatable and likable and I love watching you. I Couldn't go without my SatNav as I'm on my own and stopping all the time to check where I am would drive me bonkers. Safe travels you lovely peeps x
Thanks Julie 🥰🥰 yeah descent was brutal cuz none of the achievement left, all just pain 🤣🤣 yeah would be much harder to do map only if you were solo for sure!!!
Well that was some hike you two, with some gorgeous views which made it all worthwhile, from my point of view. If only I was forty years younger I would give it a go. Another fun and well filmed video. Many thanks.
I feel like you should be able to sell your Irish soundbites to the Irish Tourism Board! hahahaha absolutely love seeing Ireland through your eyes and loving the commitment to travelling via map! X
We visited Ireland for our Honeymoon. We definitely need to return! As far as what we eat at the end of a hike: we both agree hot soup on a hike in cooler weather sounds fantastic and can’t believe we’ve never thought of it. We live in the Pacific NW of the US and have very similar weather to Ireland. We typically have homemade granola/nuts/dark chocolate trail mix and pb&j’s, but think we’ll bring soup next time.
Awww lovely, where did you go on your honeymoon? We had our honeymoon in Galway in Ireland. So glad you are going to try some soup on the mountain next time!!! PB&J sounds like perfect hike food too!! 🤤🤤

What do I have at the top of a mountain? Usually some sort of coronary episode.
🤣🤣🤣 sounds about right, they are bloody tough. Very nervous for upcoming Ben Nevis hike
@@phillyandkeely If you did that hill, you can do Ben Nevis. It's not technically difficult on the main path, just another 300m taller. Equates to about another sandwich and an Irn Bru! 😂
I did it at this time of year too. Heatwave at the base; snow on top! 🥵🥶
@ewanstevenson will have to get an IrnBru as our secret weapon then haha
I love how much you to are madly love ❤️ 😍 you know this no phone melarky does that mean no pokemon go 😱
🤣🥰 no Pokémon Go indeed 💔 it didn't last very long though lol. I really think we need to control our phone consumption so much more!
Hiya 👋 found your channel as we are planning a move to Ireland soon and will be living in our motorhome. We don't tend to climb to the top of too many mountains but if we did we probably wouldn't take hot soup 😆 We'll enjoy catching up on your content 😊
P.s. fairies do exist 😝
Yessss fairies do exist!! Love that 😜 if you are moving to Ireland I'm telling you you will start to drink hot soup more because it's usually so cold and soggy, so soup with buttered bread is the perfect cozy food! Hope you love Ireland in your motorhome 🥰
@@phillyandkeely Surely Croutons now after your extensive European Grand Tour
Not sure I'm fancy enough for croutons 🤣🤣 I'm more likely to have a squashed piece of white bread lmao
@@phillyandkeely thank youuuu 🥰

@@phillyandkeely I can imagine, but it is cool to see you loving the drone

Not sure I would have made it back down after that 🤣🤣 I'm pretty sure the other people at the top were having one though lol
