Kirats dad infuriated me, sounded like a typical Asian dad who doesn’t care about anything but his relationships with his extended family, meanwhile his daughter is broken by this. Kirat was naive, she denies this claiming it can happen to anyone, but she had ample opportunity to see through this. However without a doubt simran is a crazy, narcissistic psychopath and I really hope her fiancé heard about this and left this insane woman. She’s a predator and isn’t really safe to be around vulnerable people; she needs intense therapy and psychological support. She can wipe herself off the internet but karma is a bitch and she will get her dues

great analysis pal. i felt everything you said here, and i thought the same at times. it was a really sad episode but it highlights how things can escalate that quickly, and imagine if the sliding doors moment had never occurred. crazy stuff.

People keep forgetting too that this guy was apparently dying so how could she question him about it? That would make her a jerk if it was true. Lot of manipulation.

Thank you for saying this! It’s like I’m the only one who thinks the motive was obsession & being in love with her cousin!

I think her dad was probably nonchalant, because, he was kept out of the loop, on alot of things. I think if they would’ve told him everything, he would’ve put a stop to it, a lot earlier. Remember, her mom said she didn’t want to tell her husband. He would’ve been more logical, where his wife, and his daughter, were extremely emotional about it.

First of all, textbook narcissistic sociopath. She literally took all of Simrat’s baby years away, and took any slither of trust, of any man ever again. I think her motive was, jealousy, not in love with her, but wanted her life. Her cousin was on the radio, being successful, happy, and loving her job. Meanwhile, she was or had been going through a break up. Misery loves company, and I believe, she felt like her cousin was rubbing it in her face. The reason she thought this way, and only her, is because I believe she has a personality disorder(s). I would say, borderline personality disorder, narcissism, and or even anti social personality disorder. Maybe even dissociative disorder. She took pleasure, in making sure her cousin was going to feel the pain she endured, 100 times worse. She made her quit her job, because that was what she thought in her deranged head, her cousin was rubbing it in her face. Pure jealousy, and mental illness. It was so heartbreaking, I hope her cousin finds a man she can trust, and have kids with. Celebrities have kids, at a later age. I believe God restores, and gives back, what was stolen, and taken from you. Many blessings to her❤️🙏

In the Netflix series they didn’t include the part where Kirat use to tell her parents that she’s officially met Bobby and played along that she’s been frequently seeing him .

The fact that anyone but Simran was blamed for bringing shame on the family is just shocking!

there were a number of red flags, but Simran acted very very vindictively about this which uncalled for. hopefully keerat is ok!

Chiming in from Sydney - the dude in black's comment (I think Indy) about this making its way too through the south Asian community is relevant after all these years lol
but have to say this episode was a missed opportunity boys. You guys could have shed a little more on the cultural nuances that may have contributed to this situation. I reckon you should do a part 2.
Also this was hard to listen to at the start just no direction / like the other guy asking 'what do you want to know?' uhhh the first rule of improv is 'yes and' . Indy seems more into this podcast. But I'll check out some of your more recent stuff.
Btw, yes family violence is its own category and linked to DV. I lol'd at the LinkedIn searches, some solid internet sluething there lmfao
