How to make sugar flowers - Cosmos tutorial

    This tutorial is perfect for beginners who want to try their hand at making sugar flowers for cakes, cupcakes, or other baked goods.     First, start by preparing a small amount of flower paste. Roll it into a ball and roll it out to about 1mm thickness.
    Next, cut out individual petals using a petal cutter or scalpel like on my video. Press the cutter down and give it a twist to ensure a clean cut.
    Using a foam pad and ball tool, thin and curl the edges of each petal. The foam pad will give support and the ball tool will create a realistic curve.
    Add texture to each petal using a veining tool. Place the petal on the veining tool and gently roll it back and forth.
    Layer the petals to form your flower.
    Once the petals have been layered, insert a wire into the flower and allow it to dry overnight.
    Finally, dust each petal with petal dust to add depth and dimension. Add a centre to the flower using a small ball of flower paste and your flower is complete.
