    I have a suggestion for you. As you do a lot of diy’s, have you thought about a area in your house that you can use solely for your tools so they are much easier to grab

    • @RTCPhotoWork
      @RTCPhotoWork 5 років тому +3

      She kind of already had that. I remember a declutter and organize video where she was doing her diy/crafting things, and I remember her putting that tool in a drawer with all of that stuff.

      That's actually a very good comment. I had classic length hair as a kid and my father was a general contractor... ask me how I know. hehe.

    I think the bottom left lamp looks a bit squished, since it almost touches the shelf above. Maybe get rid of that and put the cute battery operated lightbulb lamp there instead?

      I was thinking one of those stick on lights under the shelf or on the ceiling of the closet would be a good idea too!

    I had this attic/closet space that was not being used and I just turned it into a sleeping cupboard a couple of weeks ago (if you are not familiar with what that is, do a search a you will get an idea). It turned out so cute! Little expense for big impact! Since it is kind of an out of the ordinary space, I was able to do some really whimsical things with it and it was a lot of fun! I love trying to figure out how to use every inch of our house! Your new office space looks great!

    Hey!
    This looks awesome! I have some questions: 1) how did you get sawdust out out of your kitchen carpet? 2) since this closet looks really dark, have you thought about LED strips or fairy lights for lightening it up? 3) what was that amazing dark blue colour? 4) why did not use the drill for screws?
    All in all I love your ideas and creativity, and your personality! Also you are a lot more handy than many males I know, so that is really inspiring for me, that I can do things if I want to :D

    • @janetmoore1124
      @janetmoore1124 5 років тому +3

      My thoughts: 1) throw rugs - vacuum cleaner and a good broom. 2) I was wondering about that, too. I'd be inclined to move an electrical outlet into the closet, but that is an expense that isn't urgent. 3) I love that color! 4) I thought that too! One reason I bought mine was to use for screws. She may not have the correct bits.

    I love watching Hermione’s videos because she is such a force of chaotic good, like always doing things without tarps, painting in (what I think) is nice close, using her jigsaw casually in the kitchen 😂 I love her nonchalant-ness!

    Love this closet conversion, and I'm really loving the dark blue color, it makes such a nice cubby for whatever you need, you could set up your laptop, or write letters, or sit there and read a book, it's just so cute, gives me inspiration to try this myself. Thanks Hermione this was a fun video, see you in your next video, bye for now.

    this is a cool idea! i think i'd turn it into a dressing table though. i'd put a mirror in there with a lightning system and a stool instead of a chair so that you can hide it under the table and save some space. also i think i would try to even out the walls inside with plaster or something because now it may be more difficult to fix it than before. and also you could just put some baseboard inside so that it covers the floor in places where the carpet is missing

    Gave me ideas on hiding an office nook behind the door of/inside of a sliding door wardrobe. Slide doors to one side: clothes. Slide them the other way: office. Good solution for a small studio appartment. That would be very efficient use of space indeed.

    Could you do a video on how to style a bookshelf that is functional with books? Like, how to make a bookshelf look cute and stylish when it still has enough books to at least fill each shelf once over with books. I've been searching everywhere for inspiration on how to style it cute instead of just lining my books up one next to the other, but having no luck!!! You'd be so helpful!

    Ugh girl i know the struggle of almost giving up on a project all too well. I went to home depot this weekend to purchase some lumber for a desk, which in itself is a pretty simple project. But seeing as how the desk is over 9 feet long, it meant we needed a truck to transport the lumber home since it was too large to fit in my car. Well apparently they only had one truck available for rent and it was currently rented out, which they failed to mention when we first inquired about renting it. We didn't have a time frame of when they would be returning it, so we could either wait for an unknown amount of time or come back later. Getting my bf to come with me was a mission in itself so i didn't want to have to go through convincing him again so we waited. But we were so close to just calling it quits and leaving. That would have made it nearly impossible to get the project completed EVER. It was worth waiting but geez does every project i do need to be this difficult? I'll tag you on instagram when it's done ;) If anyone will appreciate the struggle it's you lol.
