Really hope you had enough time to travel around Morocco. The medinas differ from city to city, my personal favorite being the blue city of Chefchauoen. I loved my times in South East Asia, but Morocco will forever have a place in my heart. Shukran.
My family and I did a two week tour of Morocco in Dec 2015, and these people are so warm and lovely. If you ever go back, please go to Chefchaouen. It is incredible! Much smaller and quieter, but I know you would love it.
Wow you guys seem like completely new people back in Africa. Asia & Africa is just your vibe. I love how you embrace the different cultures and chaos without fear.
I never thought about traveling to Marrakesh but your vlog makes the people seem so warm, inviting and fun! Everything is so colorful and nice! Excited to see what else you do there.
Your story about the Good Samaritan who helped you out, it reminded me of one of my trips to Mexico. I'd gone with a friend - two young girls driving a Datson 1200 on Mexican highways back in the late '70s- and we stopped at a gas station and they charged us for 16 gallons of gas. (1) We still had a quarter of a tank left, and (2) my car only held 12 gallons. We were arguing with an attendant in our college-Spanish when a beautiful car drove up, and an elegantly dressed man stepped out, and he came over and negotiated with our attendant, and we were able to resolve the issue by paying for 9 gallons. What a knight in shining armor he was to us!
So many cool doors. So much nice people. Sunsets or sunsrises for that matter is hard to capture. Marracesh is amazing. It is dawning on me now that Kara is about to get foodpoisoning, not from this experience but a bit later.
Your travels have helped me SO much to get a feel for where places are in the world! I would NEVER have guessed Morocco was right below London and Spain! I thought it was way further East, closer to Iraq and Iran!
I love you guys! Thanks for sharing your travels. I was pretty apprehensive about Morocco until I watched your videos.Actually, I was scared. Your videos have made me want to visit right now!
This city is very cool. That meal you had took me by surprise. I was not expecting just big slabs of lamb on the counter like that! What a raw and utterly cultural moment that was. And the people seem lovely. The guys at the juice stand were sooo nice. Do you happen to remember what the pink juice was?
❤❤❤❤❤ welcome to Morocco 🇲🇦 you still have sooo much to see Tangier , Rabat, tetouan, Festival, Meknes, chefchaouen , Merzouga , dakhla , Rabat, essaouira, AGADIR...and the list goes on ❤❤❤
I was there last year. You should show the gritty parts of the medina. Like, how many touts telling you "square is this way" or offering to help you walk around, for a fee of course. It gets old fast.
11 million tourists in Morocco per year, 2 were brutally murdered. That's horrific, but those odds make Morocco just as safe as anywhere else on earth.
Morocco sounds like a disorganized organized mess of a city where you can do just about anything you want to. And you party like a rock star all night every single day during certain holidays there. It looks like a fun place to visit.
uhavemooface Morocco is not a city , every city in Morocco differs from one another. Marrakech old city is as u explained but there's also the new Marrakech which is highly modern and clean. AND NO YOU CANT DO WHATEVER YOU WANT LMAO SECURITY IS TIGHTER THAN DC in marrakech
I love Marrakesh, beautiful city and the people are just so friendly. Guess you missed out on Guilez aka New Marrakesh, it is just a 5 min bus/taxiride from Jemaa El Fna, more western oriented, there is a Starbucks or Mc D there, but also grest restaurants with huge patioa. While the Medina goes to sleep come sunset, that area is vibrant way into the night and you can get some beer there, lol. Check it out next time!
You do not go to Marrakesh for them, but it is an option and some people like familiar places when travel. My point was just that the area is more western oriented, plus you can get booze there
Hi Kara & Nate.. I love all of your Vlogs, and I respect you, because we were at this town, and we scared every minutes and every hours, Atlas mounst and Ouzoud Falls are the most beautiful, but people are absolutly not friendly.
I was in Marrakech two years ago and it’s good to see other people do justice to this amazing city.I like your sincerity and attitude towards what is new.
We were supposed to go to Spain and Morocco in March (yeah pandemic) but morocco was dropped off due to both my professors getting food poisoning repeatedly and being ill the entire 2019 trip there. :-/ one was a vegetarian to boot. So although we ended up going no place anyways we wouldn’t have gotten to go there either.
The place you mentioned at your AirB&B is a riyadh (ree-YOD), which is the same as the capital city of Saudi Arabia. The big square is one I learned about several years ago from Andrew Zimmern of Bizarre Foods--juh-MAH el fuh-NAH.
Great video it is crazy there I went there last year in January got hassled a lot they are quite aggressive wouldn't let you take a picture of the monkeys unless you gave money first but the market was amazing so buzzing but you really have to be sharp with your money can easily get mugged off
The whole point of them raising monkeys, cobras etc is to earn money, so I don't really see why anyone would expect to photograph them for free. I've happily paid twice, politely said 'no thank you' every other time, and didn't feel too harassed at all 😊
I don't think I would have eaten lunch there after watching the lamb head and him just saw a piece off in front of you. The city looks very interesting though! What an insanely nice guy at lunch paying for your lunch!!
i am moroccan but i live in europe. i can tell you that you can eat very good in marrakech with 3 to 5dollar max a good lunch or dinner in the normal moroccan restaurants or street food. i'm not talking about hotels...
life is very sheap in Morocco for expl taxis 1 to 2 dollars the same klm you pay 50 dollars is NYC. 8 Breads cost 1 dollars, 2 to 5 kilo of vegetabels cost 1 dollars. fruts one kilos cost 70 cent like bannana or apple
Hi Kara and Nate. We love your videos. Next week we go my husband and I to Marrakech and we do not know where to sleep. Where did you sleep in Marrakech? Thank you!
Sorry mate, you don't even have a "version". Your women are invisible and oppressed, even in the large cities such as Tanger. When I got off the ferry from Tanger to Barcelona, at night, there were elegantly dressed local women strolling and laughing in the streets without fear, without groups of idle and sullen men scowling at them from doorways.
I don't know about you guys but I walked around for a full 7 days recording everything I saw and people also and I never once got told to turn off the cam, but hayho different strokes for different fokes lol
That lamb street food reminds me of when I was traveling in Morocco and went to a town called Zaida known for its meat street food. It was so amazing but I ended up getting food poisoning... Worth it though !!! : P
I apologize I wasn't as kind as I normally am your your videos are awesome I can see that that's what's missing in my life again I traveled for my whole life that's all I've ever known and then the last five years I settled down in Northern California in the Emerald Triangle can you imagine what I'm up to I think it might have to do with cannabis
Planning a trip to Morocco so ended up here (Huge Kara and Nate fan) and these old videos are CRACKING ME UP!! Your accents!!! I love y’all so much!
I love the takes of Kara walking past doorways in all of the countries you both visit
@karaandnate This is the kind of vlogs I miss
Really hope you had enough time to travel around Morocco. The medinas differ from city to city, my personal favorite being the blue city of Chefchauoen. I loved my times in South East Asia, but Morocco will forever have a place in my heart. Shukran.
Barry Woslum welcome anytime. have you been in agadir?
I enjoyed chefchauen but marrakech stole my heart.
I am from Morocco...
You guys seem so happy! Marrakech has re-energized you two!
Some aggressive henna tatoo women took away my energy here😂
i've been following you for a while a now, and seeing this vidéo make me proud of being from Marrakech. Best of luck in your adventures.
The Azzan in the morning is the best sound in the earth

Chaos gives me anxiety...that's why I have to enjoy through you two. It would be overload for me. So, thanks, I can enjoy India and Asia vicariously.
India is the worst and plus dirty
I'd say it's more organized chaos... it's just a different way of life and really not that scary once you get past the shock.
The hospitality in Morocco is amazing!
One of the best vlogs ya'll have ever done! You both seem so happy and the city is so lively!
Jemmaa El Fina is amazing! Missed the snake charmers - dang it! Have to see them next time!
Awww thats so awesome (for the lamb and good samaritan experience) ❤️ cant wait for the juice when i visit
I love Marrakech and the 'chaos'

haha lol straight under spain! :D
Haha I had to comment on this even though its five years old... Kara talking about how bad the world was not knowing what was coming in 2020!
After listening to Kara n Nate on a podcast recently, I'm rewatching this one...65 years ago already, #timeflies🎉let's go!
Haha totally agreed with the chaos you mentioned. It seems crazy at first, but somehow you get used to it and miss it when you're not there.
I love you guys! Thanks for sharing your travels. I was pretty apprehensive about Morocco until I watched your videos.Actually, I was scared. Your videos have made me want to visit right now!
why you are scared?
Love this video!! And all your videos. Definitely on my bucket list.

I need to buy one of those scarfs when I go to Agadir this summer. Looks so cool when you can wrap you neck and head around it.
You guys are adventurous with what you eat. I would not have, but great footage.
I hope you guys like it here I just want to say you are welcome any time to come again
Morocco is a safe & Great Nation .

You should have gone to Albania. They have similar chaos in a good way.
Chris Nelson You can't compare Albania to Morocco man
The chaos is truly amazing but after a week of it being back in Europe with its clean streets, parks and liberated women feels just as great
Does it mean that when Morocco gets clean streets, more parks and liberated women it will become greater than Europe ? :D

Shouldn't be too hard to be greater than us..
