Greece was my favorite country to visit! The food is so good, the culture is fun to learn, and the countryside is gorgeous.

Friendly FYI: The white cucumber sauce you've had a couple of times now is called "Tzatziki" (pron. Za-Zee-Kee) sauce, and is also delicious with french fries :)

I loved seeing how much you enjoyed the food! I cooked so much Greek food for my children when they were growing up, and now for the holidays. Its a wonderful cuisine!
We loved those dogs that just walked around in Syntagma square! When my friends and I went to Greece one of us was super homesick for her dog and we would just sit there for a loooooong time while she became friends with all of the dogs. 💜

Kara is adventuresome like me in trying new foods, my husband -ehh not so much. The view from where you hiked to was amazing!!! Greece is definitely a place I would love to visit. The Tsaziki sauce makes the Gyro in my opinion. I love the sauce, I always ask for more!!

When I started watching your vlogs last week & saw how much you both(mainly Kara) enjoyed your food, I was waiting to see what you'd think of Greek food. I knew you'd like it & now I'm spot on with my assumption! Greek food amazing... I try to visit at least twice a year. Best gyros by far was a place in called Agia Galini(Crete), 2nd was Filippas(Parga)
My mouth was watering the whole time!! Those gyros look amazing. I always make my own version at home but want the real deal!

Man, I am loving the Greek food. Like you, Kara, I love bread and sesame. That was like a cross between a pretzel and a bagel, and looked marvelous. And, like you, Nate, I love sweet things, especially pastries & donuts. Those donuts looked unbelievable. Food tours are what it's about.

Grecian food is my fav so far. I'm not into veggies and this food seems heavy on meats, yogurts, olives, bread & honey. YUM!!!!

Nice view over Athes. I really like when we get high view shots. One gets more of an fuller impression of the places. :) Food looked yummy. The yougurt honey I make at home. Combine it with slighly fried nectarines in good buter and you go to oh lala land asap. :)
Great video guys, but I gotta be that guy and say that as a Greek I'm ashamed that we always gotta pull the history card in any conversation with a foreigner.. That lady pissed me off with her "Better than donuts" talk, it's crap like that that enforces the stereotype that we're all cocky assholes who have nothing modern to show for so we always resort to insulting other cultures by claiming that "whatever they're doing now, we did it a millennia before them".. I know it's a little detail but still it's subtle comments like those that stay with your subconscious and slowly influence your opinion about people.
I hope you peeps had fun here and to anyone reading this, if you're thinking about visiting - You should - We're not all pretentious a-holes, as with any nation and ethnicity, the majority of the people are simpletons trying to make ends meet and wanting to have fun in between - And that goes for literally any country around the world, never let racism discourage you from travelling!
P.S: I'd love to visit the States some day but I fear that with my extreme passion for 'Murican cars and low gas prices, I'll want to stay forever - Man what I wouldn't give to be able to maintain and have a 442 Cutlass or a '72 Skylark down here!
Okay, wow. New subscriber here. First you two are a trip (no travel pun intended). I am going to Athens this fall and am definitely going on this tour. Don't know if I could pull off that hike after all that food though. Might just stay in the park, sleeping on the grass with those dogs.

Haha I like how the premonition of when they ate the first Loukoumades, at the beginning of the video, that it could only go downhill. The funny thing is that how amazing Loukoumades are, there are so so many things one could have eaten in Athens or anywhere in Greece that it could easily be that from Loukoumades everything goes uphill after that. Anyway. I loved your food tour view. I was just like you guys when I was there for the first time. Shocked how good everything was. Greece is truly amazing

Actually, Acropolis means not the highest point but "the end of the city" or a fortress so that's why they didn't build Acropolis on the top of the hill Lycabetus. ( acro does not mean highest literary but it means the final point of something) ( little example:in Greek the limbs (kinda the final points of the body) are called acra

Everything was OK, except for that nauseating central market. I used to go there for a while to buy pig hearts for my cats, but now I even avoid to walk outside, let alone get in. Another thing that was not told is that if you eat pastourma in summer, your sweat will stink for about 1 week!

Gordon French there aren't many vegetarian restaurants but in Greek cuisine you can find many vegetarian meals.
