Snowing here. Nice to look at, but I am so ready for spring. Recently geared up with hammock camping gear (rain fly, under quilt, bug nets, etc...) gonna start my camping season off getting into hammock camping. Looking at a May BWCA trip again, but it will be a short one (4 nights only) EP 38, and head over to Alton for base camp fishing and exploring.

A final destination vibe early on in the video with that bag o' shavings and lighter. Lol
The problem with magnesium shavings is that they oxidize quickly. So either store them in oil, or use them up. A light mineral oil works great, and also helps with starting a fire.

One of these videos I half expect to see matt telling us that he's going to actually bushcraft up a shelter. He'll start out with collecting some branches. By the time he reaches step 3 he'll just edit to being in a nice hotel room. "I just did a few things off camera that would bore you guys. Smelted some pipes for plumbing and hand made this here bed...."
