I just lost my dog to cancer suddenly last Monday and the nights are especially hard because she slept in bed with me and I haven’t slept without her for eight and a half years. I was laying in bed missing her and this video popped up in my feed and your own dogs brought me some joy and comfort. Thank you Matthew and rip Harley🩷

As a Patreon member they are paying a certain amount monthly for certain benefits etc. When you just disappear and keep reeping the financial benefits of people who are donating to the channel but you aren’t producing anything for months & months on end that’s kind of crappy. But that’s my opinion. If it’s personal issues or family or whatever a quick 2-3 minute video saying you’re going to take some time off from the channel etc is not hard to put out. And it doesn’t leave people guessing. With the amount of subscribers Posa has he’s making tons of $$$ off of the views & ad revenue. Sadly, he owes a small explanation. He chose to be a “content creator” and with that comes publicity. And with that comes responsibility to fans and viewers. No, he doesn’t have to provide full details about what’s going but he should’ve at least gave some kind of reason for his absence.

I am thrilled to see you are back! I was slowly withering away to nothing without my weekly Matthew Posa fix. Yes, I am addicted to the ol' Posa story. PLEASE stay with us. UA-cam just aint the same without the Posa fix. Anyhoo, we too have had an incredible winter. No snow, temps in the 20's to 40's, very unusual for Minnesota. But today, March 25, we have been snowed in with 12 inches of snow so far. And it's continuing. I got to use my snow shovel for the first time this winter. I am doing a happy dance right now, knowing you are alive and well and still camping!!! Love you guys!

I'm glad you guys came out with another video. I head feared that something had happened to one of you. I even had a dream where Monty was wandering lost in the woods, and many of my dreams like that come true. I first watched you when I lived in Phoenix, and you got me to go camping, where I started my first fire using kindling instead of charcoal lighter fluid. I learned how to make that knot that you use to tighten paracord to hold a tarp. You showed me how to cook a Rib eye steak with no grabber things to flip it over. I have suffered from agoraphobia for many years and I would watch your vids and go camping. Know your videos make a difference. But I do now bring tongs to flip my steaks, and take great care to not turn my paracord into tangled nests. Eric/Milwaukee

One of the best tent ever made.... just for folks watching, if you like those tents ,order directly from the manufacturer in Russia. A lot cheaper then middle men companies like RBM outdoor. Hey Posa nice video, I love it when the lake makes ice, the sound is amazing, I've tried recording it a couple of times but it's just not the same, when there's a big temp. drop is when it's the best, it's woken me up from a sound sleep and my dog starts growling, she thinks someone's outside the house trying to get in. You need to do an unboxing video, next, because you still haven't used your second side shelf I sent you for your hot tent stove. 😆 I sent it to you over a year ago. A second side shelf will make cooking easier and give you more space to move your pots and pans around on top as well. Must admit I've been hoping you'd do a video of where you go out into effectively a blizzard and jerry up a tarp like one of your early videos (between those fallen logs). Just staying in a prefab hot tent is just glamping. Needs to be more raw survival. Hopefully next winter!!!

For the rope problem. Make a bone shaped piece of sturdy cardboard. Cut slit on each end of the bone. Put end of rope in the slit and wrap the cord around the middle of the bone. Slide rope into other slot. Easy peasy. No knots.

The captain there has the same tent as me . And stove ,Russian made . One of the best tent ever made.... just for folks watching, if you like those tents ,order directly from the manufacturer in Russia. A lot cheaper then middle men companies like RBM outdoor. Or whatever there called... trust me, you all save a lot of money. Any ways as a fan of yourself, Matt ,from the beginning, welcome back .. 🙏

Hey Posa nice video, I love it when the lake makes ice, the sound is amazing, I've tried recording it a couple of times but it's just not the same, when there's a big temp. drop is when it's the best, it's woken me up from a sound sleep and my dog starts growling, she thinks someone's outside the house trying to get in. Hahahaha

@MatthewPosa - So glad you are back my friend! I figured life was keeping you busy. Sometimes you need to be away from all the digital distractions we have in our lives today. Thank you for another great video! You need to do an unboxing video, next, because you still haven't used your second side shelf I sent you for your hot tent stove. 😆 I sent it to you over a year ago. A second side shelf will make cooking easier and give you more space to move your pots and pans around on top as well. Anyhow, take it easy my friend and I hope all goes well with you and your family.
I do need to open up some stuff which I will do, but I want to post some camping videos here for a bit first! :D

Must admit I've been hoping you'd do a video of where you go out into effectively a blizzard and jerry up a tarp like one of your early videos (between those fallen logs). Just staying in a prefab hot tent is just glamping. Needs to be more raw survival. Hopefully next winter!!!

For the rope problem. Make a bone shaped piece of sturdy cardboard. Cut slit on each end of the bone. Put end of rope in the slit and wrap the cord around the middle of the bone. Slide rope into other slot. Easy peasy. No knots.
