Very nice vid! Tears streaming again....cannot watch that movie without snuffling.... The will of the horse vs the will of the man and the transformation that occurs....nothing better...thanks!
Thank you! You're exactly right- it's a movie that really makes us consider the bond between horses and humans. I think that's why it touches us horse people so deeply!
I understand the scene in which Pilgrim is brought to the ground psychologically. It may be transferred to psychoanalysis: if there is enough trust between therapist and patient, the therapist may try to "break" the patient's resistance by using a more coarse approach for a moment - and if this is successful, the patient may reach a new level of consciousness.
Yes...we only had horses about 5 years...as many as 9 Arabians...witnessed 2 births 1 colt, 1 filly.......words can't describe.....I'd gripe sometimes about mucking stalls, but now, with both my parents gone, the horses gone....I have memories and a lot of VHS tapes which I hope to transfer to DVD before they disentegrate...thanks again!
I'm sorry to hear about your accident. :( But I'm glad to hear you haven't lost your love for horses. I hope you can start working with them again soon.
***** I haven't been on UA-cam in probably a solid year and a half, but just happened to look on here and see your comment! thank you so much for posting. Its been about five years since I have made this video and I have definitely grown a lot since then. I agree that the methods used in this movie are a definite no-no when you train horses. In real life, you don't just lay a horse down and everything is magically better... In fact, it can be downright dangerous. There are much better ways out there. I do love this movie and I'm still glad I made this video, but I like you hope that people don't try this at home. Horses are such complicated creatures and nothing is ever this simple.
i've had 3 persongs inside me since first class.... and until now... i've learned ALL IT! BY MY SELF to controle both.... Me. and the second, but the third is in jail. so now. it's only to get rid off the third. and keep the second. person who never stopps training. he just, keeps training no stopp. not even when the brain is so tired he just keeps training. it's a nice person but at the same time, i've learned to controle the second persons anger :)
certains disent que la cheval est la plus belle conqête de l'homme, dommage que se soit un conquête cela implique qu'il y a un maître et un esclave pour plus que l'on les aime ! Il en va pour beaucoup d'animaux !
Monty Roberts who was an adviser to this movie was really mad that they never consulted him about the scene where they tie the horses front foot....That´s a NO NO!

Why does he bring Pilquim down in such a brutal looking way?
Perhaps to train him to kneel down so Grace would be able to get up on the saddle. At least for the time being.
@LuckyBuckyDucky Yep, The Horse Whisperer!
@iRiD3PONi3S Thank you!!! :D
@emmalovedreamer Thank you!!!

i hoped a making of the movie, you know that title is a bit confusing.
Monty Roberts who was an adviser to this movie was really mad that they never consulted him about the scene where they tie the horses front foot....That´s a NO NO!
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I'm sorry it was confusing for you.
not your fault
