I bought the Q8 when my wife was still teaching orchestra in middle and high school so I could record concerts without running into the 20 minute limit my Nikon D5600 had for recording. While I wasn't as happy with the video, the main goal was the audio, especially since I could save the recordings in both audio AND video formats. My wife retired from teaching a couple years ago, so I haven't had a use for it since. This video just made me pull it out and start charging it to see if I can put it to use in some way.
haha. glad this video is inspiring you to dust off your Q8 again. Yes, the audio is better than most camcorders in this price range. Video....horrible.
yeah I know what you saying but don't take it as like a regular camcorder. It's more like a sound recording device with a video. I actually love the product. I've been using it since it came out and planning to get a pro version sometime. Mostly for my guitar practicing clips. I even used it for my job shootings couple times for air sound recording and video for monitoring with other pro-use camcorders on the multi-camera situations.
Yeah, I know it's for musicians that don't care about video quality and rather have the best audio, but I think the video quality is one of the worst compared to every camera I've used in the past 15 years. But the Zoom Q8N was okay. I reviewed it when it came out if you're curious: ua-cam.com/video/PEu_C_tuQOs/v-deo.htmlsi=bdpqhBBzMYt6NnbP

@@VideoGizmology true. the video quality is bad. I do admit that without a doubt. I’ll check the link bro👍
Who would want high quality audio paired with extremely low quality video? Seems like a total miscalculation.
I agree.
😂 looks brand new
I'm obsessed with cameras as you can see from my channel, so I keep them in excellent condition unless I use them a lot for work.
I've never had a positive experience with zoom.
I think some of their audio recorders are great and I've owned a lot of them, but they need to stay away from video. haha.
