Gonna pin a reply I made to the top to help anyone trying to figure out the proper height/timing for the IAD from the super jump since I said you can do an immediate (buffered) 'IAD' from the back superjump but in my typical executions for this mix I'm actually delaying it a tad. You CAN do this mix with the fastest possible airdash out of a super jump, however it will require you to time the super-jump backwards at a later timing than you see in my video. The hard thing about stuff like this is that (for the super jump mix that is) it's a lot of manually done inputs that don't have a proper 'set' time, so it'll just come down to you getting a timing that works out for you and grinding out that muscle memory (which is why I recommended the walking variant after first showcasing that one). The mix will work exactly as you see in this video whether you slightly delay the airdash or not, it's just a matter of timing really.
Honestly I've found your channel just 20 minutes ago and there's many informative videos for me... About Baiken. Goddamn, Memokarp's avatar image on UA-cam is so adorable! I'll keep to watch later other videos too. Thank you.
Been waiting for something like this, felt like most people online have learned the matchup well enough to be patient on the standard safejump. Great tutorial as always!
This is insanely useful. I just learnt how to run some decent throw mix from an older video of yours and now being able to mix from kabari knockdown is crazy
@Memokarp Man thanks for the video. I've been trying to hit this for the last hour or so, having issues with it. I play on hitbox. Is the air dash after backwards super jump literally at the fastest possible timing? Your jump seems to go pretty high before the dash so I'm not sure if it's just a timing thing or if you're actually dashing at the fastest possible timing? Also I seem to get a punch coming out instead of FD a lot, even though when I check the inputs they look clean, the P+K are coming out on the same frame in the input buffer and i'm already holding back according to the game. Is there some timing where you can't FD too early e.g. while dashing or something? Appreciate you! Thanks mate
This is a little awkward to answer, but I'll do my best! You CAN do this mix with the fastest possible airdash out of a super jump, however it will require you to time the super-jump backwards at a different timing than you see in my video. In regards to FD, I recommend that after you airdash (hopefully with the dash macro!) you immediately start holding back before you actually press P+K (or any two combination of buttons that isn't D). You're most likely getting a button because the back button was released or not registered before you pressed the two other buttons assuming that they were both pressed near the same time. I hope this helps! If you're still having trouble, feel free to DM me on discord (if you have it) or twitter and if you can send me a clip of your attempts I can offer more specific feedback.
Hey Memo, when you say to do immediate IAD is it as soon as possible or to let the super jump rock a bit? i'm finding that i'm landing too early if i buffer IAD after super jump and im visibly lower to the ground than in your video, but you said immediate so i'm not 100% sure where i'm wrong
This is what I get for just talking instead of fully writing out a script that I have double checked. That's 100% on me so don't worry about it, gonna copy and paste a reply I already made because it should also answer your question! "This is a little awkward to answer, but I'll do my best! @@Memokarp Hey no worries man, i'm just a big fan of auto timed stuff and baiken has her share of manual timings so i was hoping for some secret sauce to turn my brain off haha, just going to need to grind it out and figure out something comfortable. Thanks a lot for the video and the quick reply! Cheers
@@tranceaddict11 That's definitely the rough thing about learning Baiken. LOTS of manually timed stuff, not so many 'auto-timed' set-ups. I hope the grind goes well for you and if any other questions come up I'll do my best to answer. Take care and good luck gamer.

Memo coming in clutch again, my offense has been pretty much stagnent. Running the few mixes I've gotten memorized. Appreciate the extra layers.

im having trouble landing the superjump fd yozansen because i think im jumping too early. is there a way to make the super jump setup consistent?
Post on yt more bro
Might be a stupid question but do you play with stick or dpad? Just started playing so wondering which I should start of with
Used to play on pad but I play on hitbox now!
@@MemokarpThank you :), just started playing the game 2 weeks ago, your baiken vids are very helpful
Hey memo, was just wondering if these still work in season 3?
You'll have to adjust some of the routing where yozansen hits same-side due to the yozansen changes/nerfs.
The mix-ups themselves still work though!
@@Memokarp sorry uber late lmao but thanks!
