- Hello friends! Come along with me for a behind-the-scenes look into what a week looks like as a small business owner who is celebrating 10 years as an Etsy Seller. Join me as I pattern test for Hooks and Heelers. I will be diving into the world of testing with test groups. For fun this week I will be trying patterns that I have found on Pinterest and Etsy & will be sharing my thoughts with you after I make them. Per the norm I will be making and shipping my Etsy orders. This week I have a few monster hats to go out. So, grab your favorite hook & your current wip and join me for another fun week of crochet.

I think there’s probably a lot of women like me who don’t really have friend groups in the real world because we’re all so busy with work and family. Hobby lobby had a free pattern leaflet for the yarn you were gifted,the yarn is used for hand kitting a blanket or a throw pillow. Happy belated birthday to your daughter and congrats on her graduation. Sorry, for the loss, diabetes is no joke. I have a brother in law who is currently suffering with diabetes,he has problems with numbness on his legs and may need amputation. I continue to enjoy this channel,thank you❤

I DO NOT charge (COMPLETELY FREE); I only “edit” as a hobby now & I find it loads of fun! It sure is a shocker to see our “babies” graduate, isn’t it? We raised four sons…they’re now 27-37; it just zooooms by SO QUICKLY! I hope y’all had a truly wonderful graduation weekend! I think I am STILL tired from the party for the youngest one! 😂

Lisa, I was so excited to read your comment & 100% would love to work with you. We can certainly have a chat at some point. When it comes to being creative that comes easy. I have written and published patterns in the past & I want to start publishing again. Your help would be essential to my success. Alot of my hats are detailed so I would want to make sure they are technically correct. I have so many patterns in journals, but I have a few that I would like to start with. They are my biggest sellers on Etsy and quite frankly I'm tired of making them. I have had so many requests from customers for these patterns so I know they would be great to start with. I have also made a few plushies that I would start with. We should definitely talk soon. Maybe we can schedule a call or something. I just can't believe amazing people like you that are reaching out, let alone making such a generous offer like yourself. I am truly blown away. Who would have thought that starting this channel would allow me to connect with people who have the same passion for crochet as myself? It is truly a blessing.
As far as my baby graduating, I can't believe it. I honestly didn't think I would get to this point due to her health. I read your bio and I saw you are a nurse so you will understand this. Abby was diagnosed with Crohn's when she was 15 but had been so incredibly sick for a long time before the diagnosis. She has gone thru so much but is now in remission and is doing amazing. I am so thankful. This has allowed me to really dive back into my business which is why I started my UA-cam channel. It's funny how life has its ups and downs. Time just flies by, lol.
You have 4 boys!! My husband and I have 4 girls and 1 boy! It's a crazy life, haha.

Thank you so much!! I love this snake too! I’ve been making a lot of this pattern. It’s been my go to when I don’t want to concentrate, lol. Mostly I have used a 7.00 mm, but recently I tried an 8.00 mm & I might have to switch. It went faster. You do stuff the head by the way. I appreciate you watching & commenting! ❤️ Have a great day!

I am so sorry both for your cat, but mostly for your step sister. A lot of sadness at once, and at the same time joy with your daughter graduating and having her 18th birthday, - life is kind of bizarre sometimes.
I love the crocheted cat, - I got a "fox-feeling" before I see the finished product, and I really love the colors.
Your cat being 14 years old, - must be kind of a "record", - I mean... Isn't that really much? And it is very strange as well, - taking a bath??? A really peculiar cat 😉
Hey Linda! Thank you so much. I'm hanging in there. Life has lots of ups and downs and I'll be ok. My mom had a diabetic cat that lived to be 19 years old. Now that's crazy! One of these days I will have to get in the shower with my bathing suit on so I can film my peculiar cat, lol. He waits for me to take a shower every day and runs to the bathroom every time I go upstairs to my bedroom/bathroom. He gets in there to get a drink and gets soaked. Then he gets out and licks himself. It's pretty smart actually. But his breed is known for loving water. Hope all is well with you. Have a great day!

Thank you so much! I especially love making new friends here. The snake is so easy and quick & I love it. I do 30 rows of hdc before I start decreasing. I’ll do a dec, then 2 hdc and repeat until it closes. Hope that helps. Let me know how it goes. I appreciate you friend! ❤️
Love the color you used for the body of your Mini Maven Monster at 2:43 of the video - super super cute. I tend to shy away from variegated yarn because I love it when I look at the skein, but don’t love it once it gets worked up. Do you recall the color name - looks like cream, blue and olive on my screen?

One of my best sellers are the possums! I use the same pattern and sell them for $10. I sell out almost every show . I usually take 20-25 to my shows. The more you make the faster they are 😊 you should give them a try!

Say I want to buy that mikie pattern. You mentioned in your video that one was a medium hat. Do you have options for a medium hat in your pattern if I buy it or is it just for a kid size?
The pattern is for a Medium. The Medium size has a circumference of 18-20” & Height of 8”. In this video I tried on the Medium size and this is the size in my pattern on Etsy. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Congrats on your daughters high school graduation and her birthday. My daughter just graduated from collage this weekend so I was super busy as well.
I don't mind hearing about your life its more relatable. The rule in my home is who ever cooks doesn't clean and we take turns on who's cooking and cleaning so everyone is cooking and cleaning after meals hope it helps.

Wow! Congratulations to your daughter as well. Graduating college is an even bigger milestone. You must be so proud. The rule in my house about cleaning is clean up after yourself. The problem is my standard of clean is way higher than anyone else in my house, lol. I try not to worry about things being perfect anymore. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.
