Indeed, and maybe some bioiluminous mushrooms too that spawns in the dark oak forests, pale forests, in certain cave biomes and so on, from big ones like the two ones we commonly use in the overworld, small ones and so on, so yeah
Ideas that could be added; Muddy pig variant for swamps and mangroves, if pigs walk on mud they will play a animation and convert into a mud pig (texture changes depending on variant) and if they go into water outside of swamp or mud they will convert back. Fog for pale garden, that’s all. Season that may tints leaves, remove leaves and flowers, spawn flowers and leaves, and may control weather conditions. New variants for other passive mobs. Moss spawns on tree stumps and logs and in general spawns more on the surface.

Not gonna lie, I wouldn't be surprised if the warm pig is actually based on a capybara, especially since when first discovered, they were thought to be pigs, that and the colouration more fits a capybara than a red river hog, as they are a lot more vibrantly coloured with black faces
I want black pigs white pigs, and spotted pigs. As for muddy pigs, i say let all pigs get muddey as they could reuse the same muddy texture (or textures if theirs multiple variants) with the pig with a flowering being a rare varient
I really think that the leaves should have a heavy tint to match the biome they're in. It feels really weird to me to have a bunch of lush leaves on the trees and then a ton of dead leaves on the ground. Also I think that they should make forests just a little bit more dense than they are now. Not saying they should go back to how it was before, just that I feel like they're a bit too spread out now
chicken should be next, it is like only animal mob without variant, sheep has colors, i think that counts as "variant", they could make some colors more likely or exclusive to some bioms (I think it is not so far), cow has mooshroom and brown mooshroom, pigs just got them, wolves had variants last time, bunnies, frogs and llamas have.. horses have plenty.. goats could have more too, I guess, but screaming goat is technically variant and they dont spawn in many bioms.. and I think that is about everything
i think all we really need now is parity between bedrock and java for fallen trees and then the mushroom growths on the side of the trees for birch forests, they look so much more distinctive already!
I completely agree, I am surprised java still doesn't have it and I think side mushrooms should be very common in old growth forests, afterall trees there are old and more prone to mushrooms
When Mojang were Doing Big Announcements with "Minecraft Live" they Needed to look & change big thing like they do something big as an update! But now with these game drops...they can focus on every minimal things that they've changed earlier! (May one day they'll notice the importance of *Sleeping bags* & *Bag packs*
I think the leaves are a wonderful idea, and they're heading in the right direction, but the way they spawn looks really awful. It's not the texture, its the patterns that they generate with. It doesn't look like how actual leaves would be scattered over the ground floor.
I think the issue is the super vibrant green grass in contrast with the now abundant dull brown leaves. Forest floors irl are a lot less vibrant due to the trees obstructing the amount of light that makes it to the ground. If we had more shubs/bushes, a larger variety of ground litter, a new, duller grass type block for forests (or less conservative use of podzole), and most importantly, taller trees, I think forests would look much more appealing and alive then they do currently.
I also think that the amount of leaves if too much and it kinda ruins the forest for me having that many leaves of that colour around but it looks slightly better in the dark oak forest
More pig variants. Snow biomes: boar like pigs, meaning grey/black. Savana: Warthog. Plains spotted pigs. Moobloom al the way and more colours of the wildflowers.
Yeah, we need boars, warthogs and such next as well as unique versions with their own spawn eggs, also hope they do the same with chickens tbh, maybe add turkeys, ducks, geese and so on, just an idea
I'm so torn about the leaves at 8:00. As a block for detailing, super great, super excited. The sound as you walk through it? Fab. Awesome. But walking through the biomes with brown all over the green grass blocks? Looks bad imo
I think they should tint them more towards the leaf colour of the biome with some orange and brown ones mixed in like how the wildflowers have a mix of yellow and white flowers.
this update makes me so happy, little particle effects and tiny ambient sounds are always underestimated in terms of their impact on how lively a world can feel and getting these changes feels like Mojang is really listening to fan feedback
Don't say that they are listening to fan feedback, or you will get 1000 complaints about End update, Villager trading rebalance or a bunch of Redstone mechanics guys trolling all over your comment.
Another great addition to the ambiance would be fireflies. Not as entities or even items, but as particles, every now and then, near flowers or tallgrass. Your idea of birds would be good. But an easier way to add ambiance without too much work by the devs would be to add bird sounds to forests. You won't see the birds, but the forests will feel more alive. A bird particle would be nice, like a flock of two or three particles fleeing a bunch of leaves when the player gets too close. It would also be a good jumpscare during those zombie infested nights. Aware ambiance: activating these effects according to your surroundings would be nice; you may not want bird sounds inside your super modern house or building just because you built it in a forest biome. It would be best if activated only when the player is surrounded by many vertical or omnidirectional logs and mostly covered by a canopy of leaves.
They went from being very unused by most players because of what it needed to be crafted, to them even giving them away like happy meal toys, and also letting u craft more way more easily
Oh wow I'm super excited for all of the new thing's to come, will it be an update or drop? I'm also hoping that Mojang allow leaves to drop on other blocks, I'm sure in time they will expand on that. Love the new pig variants too, although the warm pig now looks like a pug and now I can't unsee it. I imagine they will recolour/overhaul the cows and chickens too. I guess that lego set of farm or barn is maybe similar to what we get.
“Have you ever seen a pine tree in real life” we have more pine trees than folks around here, and yes sometimes they drop their needles! (which is why pine forests often have that nice pine needle carpet on the forest floor below) 😁
Evergreens do drop leaves though, they just don’t loose all their leaves at one time like deciduous trees do in fall/the dry season (depending on where they are from)
@theender664 Pine needles and broad leaves are like different types of drinking glasses. A coffee mug and a water glass are both designed to hold liquids for drinking, just as pine needles and leaves are both designed for photosynthesis. However, their designs are adapted to specific purposes. They’re different enough people use specific names to avoid confusion
this seems like the basis for a seasons update.... leaves on the ground for the fall? flowers on the ground in spring? alternate mobs for different seasons?
eeeh i grew up in the mountains and lemme tell ya, spruce and pine leaves, aka needles, don't really float, they're small and dense and shouldn't be falling off that much, but there should also be some occasional talking cones, they could hit you on the head and take half a heart damage lol
@@lookash3048my first thought, i’m laughing my ass off, it doesn’t even make sense, even some addons do it better, making them float around instead of actually fall
@@LineOfThy Not passively, but it can be if you coil and power it. In my books, that's close enough to justify it with video game logic so we can help with the copper issue

14:15 to be fair, Compass works by magnetism. Lodestones are the name for magnetite (strongest natural magnets) so lodestones are basically just magnets. The compass is still a bit silly as you can’t do this in real life easily, however it makes more sense than the map
So this update doesn’t give us seasons just yet, but it allows us to make it *look* kinda like there are seasons. I cant wait to see what they come up with next!
Decked Out 3 will be so lit. My reservations about adding the creaking to the game was that they would only be a threat half the time and players would find a way to optimize runs around timing
I love the leaf litter, but I don’t like how it replaces the grass, leaves and grass should be able to be placed in each other, like how you can place snow layers in grass. Also they need to add an autumnal biome now..
I feel like they should update at least one biome per year with big changes or small ambience ones like these, since they are doing update drops now I feel like that may be possible
ONE PER YEAR??!!! That’s even less then they are doing right now lol, they need to start working more then 5 minutes a day, maybe we would get decent updates again lol
I hope we can craft the dead leafs into a block so we can have a dead leaf pile to jump into Assassin Creed style, lol. Have them function like a powdered snow but without the freezing effect. This would allow them to provide a similar effect to water, and with a full texture they can also be used as a hiding spot for mini games.
IMO would be even better if the Dry Leaf blocks would function like normal leaf blocks, but brown/orange so we could use them for custom autumn coloured trees
@@adrianmakesbooksstay negative like this, i am sure life will go great like this. In all honesty, be a bit more positive mate, just the first snapshot
I like how they’re cluttered cause you get to hear the crunch of the leaves more but yeah, I do think it could be reduced a bit and have different colors.
This snapshot makes it painfully obvious as to why minecraft feels oversaturated and incomplete They keep adding "New flowers! New biomes! New wood type!" And they never go back to them or make them anything more than an extremely rare occurance that you don't even have much of a reason to find. They haven't updated the savannah, the mesa, the mooshroom island thing, the desert, etc. Don't get me wrong, the new nether is GREAT, but I feel like they only updated that because it was an essential pary of game progression that pretty much only had lava, netherack, and the fortress. No biome other than the new, fancy, extremely rare biomes get any love
yes!!! this is exactly my issue with many of the updates. like, sure the new biomes are very cool and stuff, but I want the old biomes to be polished off and improved
Instead of brand new animals, or any new mobs to fight, they have opted for: More Pigs. These guys are truly revolutionizing their popular title I tell ya!
the loadstone change is something that's been floating around at mojang for a while. in an interview with kingbdogz in 2022 (mainly about the development process for the warden), kingbdogz mentioned that they would probably change the loadstone from needing netherite to craft to make it more accessible early game. so its finally here
Notice how new pig variants were left out from the swamp biomes. Maybe they’re setting up the muddy pig to be a spawn over in the swamps. My personal hope is that muddy pigs would drop mud blocks, revolutionizing mud farms.
Hear me out! The Loadstone, with the flat top surface, can be used to chisel a design to mark between like “village houses” or “mines” or “dungeons” etc etc. on your map in a way that doesn’t obstruct the map but details what’s where!
The reason a lot of people don’t “like” the creaking, is because they wish it did MORE. Maybe more damage? Faster when you look away? I also do wish the pale garden had fog in it, that obstructs other biomes from view, and maybe some new plants for that biome? I like the creaking a lot personally, just wish it came with more.
Ngl I kind of liked only pale gardens (and cherry groves ig) having falling leaves. I might be the only one tho. Also why are people complaining this is literally what 1.19 was meant to be
I’d definitely like more greenery available. Maybe some more flower variants, food variants and things like that. If nothing else, just to spice up decorating. Also, I’d love to see climbing roses make it into the game. (They would behave kinda like vines. Just with flowers on them. )They would be perfect for the birch forest since vines don’t naturally grow on birch trees. A muddy pig too. Maybe only found in the mangrove and swamp biomes? 😊
YES!!!!! i really want climbing flowers in the game, if they added climbing roses it could even have different colour variants so we could mix and match!! new blocks are always welcome, but we also really need more stuff to decorate with
@EmperorPenguin1217 most people (including great builders) have a hard time decorating interiors and towns and that's enough proof that we don't have enough decorations of different sizes and shapes. although we already have cool blocks and stuff, builds still look kind of "dead" bc there's no lived-in ambience
If we follow the "cold and warm" varinats of the mobs, then I want to see how all the other farm mobs, Sheep, Cow and Chicken, will look like! Imagine a SUPER FLUFFY SHEEP, a cow with bigger horns, or a chicken with more detailed feathers! 🤩
It would be sooo cool if we get Creeper variants as well, it would add so much to the ambience of each biome if Creepers blended in with the different environments more.
if you want to mark a location on the map, use a banner. if you want to mark the same location with a compass, use a banner on top of a lodestone. if you gave the lodestone a similar function to the banner that would be absolutely stupid
Tbh I feel like the Lodestone compasses are just gonna completely replace the maps since a map effectively has limited range and a Lodestone compass has infinite range and shows which way you need to head in without the need to hold it. I've always loved Lodestone compasses and now that they're gonna be WAY more available I'm gonna be having some fun with them.
I want more of the same. More mob variants, more flowers, more leaf times, more particles. But I also want that Minecraft adds more ambient sounds, like trees creaking, leaves falling, wind, etc.
I would love to see the rest of the colors get a flower carpet now. Another thing is if they're doing this to all the farm animals, next one should be based on the wetness of the biome. The mobs could be used as a visual for the climate of each biome. Instead of having to remember each one, you can remember the live stock and look for the animals in each. There is no visual indicator of the system and I think it would be a fun way to add it.
I think it would be super cool for an ambiance update for different moon variations, possibly only under a full moon. They would be quite minor, all things considered, but still really interesting. The harvest moon would be orange-brown, and crops would have 2x growth speed and 2x harvest quantity (excluding pumpkins, melons, etc. Speed still applies). Next is the blue moon, which looks blue and causes fireflies to appear in nearly every biome. The base light level becomes 1 for the night, which stops mobs from spawning unless they are under any form of shadow. The last is the blood moon which allows mobs to spawn at light level 7, like they used to in earlier versions. They are not super impactful, and rare to boot, but they could be interesting when they appear.
I like the direction they're taking, I know this is a snapshot so things can change but I hope they don't just add these things and consider it done. I would like to see them expand on it. The birch biome they just added a retextured flower, I would like to see more of them on the ground right now they spawn in a weird pattern, add the tall white flower thats in the image, make trees taller with branches sticking out, tweaking the grass colour to a yellowish-green when in the biome and adding the mushrooms from the image on tree sides would make it feel way more alive. Some colour variety for the small flowers would also help. Little details like these don’t take long but really pull a biome together. They’re the biggest game in the world with enormous resources, but recent updates feel underwhelming. I hope they listen to community feedback and expand on things. I love the animal variance (it took way too long for dogs) but I hope most animals get a few variants like cows, chickens, maybe sheep. adding things like birds would be nice too. I would like them to honestly just do a biome update where they add like 5 good things to each biome, maybe a mob, a structure and a few blocks to each biome, along with some atmospheric stuff like fireflies (rip) it would make the world feel richer. I’m not a fan of the pale garden as it stands, but maybe they’ll make it more useful over time. Updates like the Deep Dark are really cool but I feel they need further expansion later on. I've seen people wanting an End update, but I think other areas need more attention first. Updates like the ocean and Nether updates were fantastic, but they’re too far apart sometimes with years between them. With their resources, they should be pushing out great updates at least yearly, Rockstar Games is a good example. They have sold similar amounts and look at how they invest the money right back into the game. Instead I feel Mojang and Microsoft have been focusing on the wrong things like spinoffs and movies rather than their actual product. I do genuinely think that they can make Minecraft so much more full of life, we've seen it with mods like Create, Biome's You'll Go, Farmers Delight, Naturalist etc. A lot of these mods have weak points but they done some vanilla-style stuff really well, We've seen the potential with Hytale, We've seen the potential from Mojang themselves with all the stuff they showed but never added. They're for sure headed the right direction I just hope they stick at it and take community feedback on board more. W snapshot for sure.
There are some pretty major technical changes worth taking about! You can now use the /setblock, /fill, and /clone commands and structure blocks to change blocks without updating them or the blocks around them! (ie: a lantern floating in air)
@ That’s not what this does. This does not affect world generation. This is actually something mapmakers have wanted for a while! It allows for detailing (such as unlinking iron bars using the debug stick) to not be overwritten when a structure block based map is reloaded.
@@erinjoyner3739 I’m not quite sure what you mean by that. But if you mean that if you were to clone an area with iron trapdoors that are opened without a redstone signal, if you use strict placement, they won’t update and will remain open.
@zachrcook2007 Nah - just for some reason with structure blocks. If you clone a build and then rotate it, all the blocks rotate except the vertical trapdoors.
The leaf litter stand out too much. Brown leaves everywhere despite the trees being green. Replace them with more flower carpet or green forest floor growth (moss, vines, bushes, and shrubs. Even something like little pebbles/stones could work) and add the dead leaves to an autumn forest. I think this would be the perfect time to add biome ambience sounds like birds chirping, ocean waves, wind, and other such sounds.
@@mustacheman529 I don’t really mind tbh. It would be nice if they added birds as a mob and they actually flew in formations but I’m fine with ambient sounds as well. The game sounds completely dead most of the time the music isn’t playing.
Oh damn, they... actually listened to criticism. Just straight up, this snapshot is *already* better then the entirety of the last update. Even for the subject of that update! I'm a little shocked. Its been YEARS since they've listen to criticism like this! Also, the warm pig seems to be based on the KuneKune pig, which is one of the cutest little guys you've ever seen.
I'm not sure if I agree? We got two new decoration bits that probably reuse the code from the pink petals, some particles, and new pig textures. Now I don't hate these, in fact I like them. But the pale garden update brought a new, complex mob, with completely unique behavior, along with the entire pale wood set, and the resin blocks set. I think the entirety of the last update is much better than this one snapshot. Obviously we can't tell which update is better with only one snapshot of this one, but I don't think this comment is accurate.
14:20 we already have that option but with banners! just place any kind of banner on ground and right click on it when holding a map. that banner icon will be added on the map!
@@babyminer4059 Because Mojang ought to put this update on delay and bring out the Parity Update right away, but instead we pestered them for this first. And for 1.21. And for 1.20. And for just about all the other updates, too!
I think Mojang are going to give all of the mobs there own seperate variants like how the cow has the mooshroom it might even eventually get a moogloom (sorry if I am spelling these wrong but you get the point) and even how the sheep has a bunch of different colours and also with the wolf maybe a bunch of other animals like the chicken or the creeper or even the enderman can get there own variants.
I think this doesnt affect bedrock gold farms using trident killers since you are still technically killing them via player damage. But rip most java gold farms
My feature wishlist: 1) Seasons - I suspect they are building up to this already with some of these features. If they want to go in depth with it, it could change the length of the day, increase the chances of certain weather conditions and impact farming. I dont think it should be like stardew valley where crops can only grow in one or two seasons but maybe they will grow quicker in certain seasons to encourage you to change crops. If they dont want to go in depth with it then id be fine with just making it change leaf colours and have snow and leaves fall 2) The forest update - Taller birch forest trees and bigger oak trees to make these biomes more open and less annoying to traverse. Shelf mushrooms, rocks, hollow logs and flowers added to bring new life 3) More animal variants - Cow (buffalo in savannah and yak in snow biomes also moobloom), horse (zebra in savannah), chicken (duck variant in rivers) etc 4) More weather conditions - Clear skies, Cloudy, Foggy, Windy, Hailstone, snowstorm, sandstorm should be added. None of these would hurt the player and just be there to change the vibe of each biome. 5) More ambience - fireflies will be added but not just to the swamp. Other bugs such as grasshoppers, flies, ants, butterflies etc should be added. Birds should also be added. More ambient sounds such as chirping and wind 6) Desert, Savannah and/or Badlands updates - I hope these get added soon but they should also add something extra to them imo considering how long we have had to wait for these updates. For example, adding a giraffe or elephant to the Savannah, scorpions to the desert etc Of course im not expecting all of this in this update but i believe mojang should dedicate themselves to delivering most if not all of these in different drops during this next year or so. This way the drops are as cohesive as a regular update but spread the content out more. For example, Drop 1 - seasons, Drop 2 - Forests, Drop 3 - Weather and Ambience, Drop 4 5 and 6 - Savannah, Desert and Badlands with the animal variants mixed in with each relevant update.

@@dumbbest7328forests must have taller trees , the smallest ones should be at least 3 blocks taller
I also think that the amount of leaves if too much and it kinda ruins the forest for me having that many leaves of that colour around but it looks slightly better in the dark oak forest
@@dumbbest7328 This!!! The forests in beta used to be so much better since they spawned much more big trees. I really do miss that.
I agree, leaf litter doesn't look good, especially since they're brown against green grass. I want them to be less abundant too.
Minecraft Earth variants of the pigs should be added.
I'm so torn about the leaves at 8:00. As a block for detailing, super great, super excited. The sound as you walk through it? Fab. Awesome. But walking through the biomes with brown all over the green grass blocks? Looks bad imo
EXACTLY like its a great idea but it just doesn't look good right now
I think they should tint them more towards the leaf colour of the biome with some orange and brown ones mixed in like how the wildflowers have a mix of yellow and white flowers.

this update makes me so happy, little particle effects and tiny ambient sounds are always underestimated in terms of their impact on how lively a world can feel and getting these changes feels like Mojang is really listening to fan feedback

I never was good with directions, and i following cordinates felt tedious, glad they made the loadstone early gale obtainable
Yeah I never fully understood why the lodestone needed netherite which locks them to the end game where you don't really need them

Oh wow I'm super excited for all of the new thing's to come, will it be an update or drop? I'm also hoping that Mojang allow leaves to drop on other blocks, I'm sure in time they will expand on that.

Also, the lodestone map thing already exists. That's what banners are for
@@sandwichqueenhe knows he just wants it for lodestones too
I think it would be super cool for an ambiance update for different moon variations, possibly only under a full moon.
Hope they add fireflies. I would love it for the swamp and mangrove swamp.

There are some pretty major technical changes worth taking about! You can now use the /setblock, /fill, and /clone commands and structure blocks to change blocks without updating them or the blocks around them! (ie: a lantern floating in air)
This could be the setup for seasons. Being able to change the leaves without updating it should mean it will lag less
@ That’s not what this does. This does not affect world generation. This is actually something mapmakers have wanted for a while! It allows for detailing (such as unlinking iron bars using the debug stick) to not be overwritten when a structure block based map is reloaded.
But did they finally make it so friggin trapdoors flip properly?? Lol
@@erinjoyner3739 I’m not quite sure what you mean by that. But if you mean that if you were to clone an area with iron trapdoors that are opened without a redstone signal, if you use strict placement, they won’t update and will remain open.

Bro finally the lodstone isn't absolutely stupid. I always hated the original recipe.
Better yet, use the foliage (leaf) color of the biome they’re placed in but a bit browner
@GamingBren You mean like cherry blossom leaf litter if they're in a cherry blossom biome?
I'd rather them not add bird chirping if there aren't birds to do the chirping.
@@mustacheman529 I don’t really mind tbh. It would be nice if they added birds as a mob and they actually flew in formations but I’m fine with ambient sounds as well. The game sounds completely dead most of the time the music isn’t playing.

I think this doesnt affect bedrock gold farms using trident killers since you are still technically killing them via player damage. But rip most java gold farms
@@Dasligma69 I'm Java, so yeah, RIP. XD
Spruce trees need to have pine needles for the falling texture
and also I hope they add more features into birch forrest like in this forgotten concept art at 0:49
Gone but not forgotten
I always never forgot about the concept art of the new birch forest.
My feature wishlist:
1) Seasons - I suspect they are building up to this already with some of these features. If they want to go in depth with it, it could change the length of the day, increase the chances of certain weather conditions and impact farming. I dont think it should be like stardew valley where crops can only grow in one or two seasons but maybe they will grow quicker in certain seasons to encourage you to change crops. If they dont want to go in depth with it then id be fine with just making it change leaf colours and have snow and leaves fall
2) The forest update - Taller birch forest trees and bigger oak trees to make these biomes more open and less annoying to traverse. Shelf mushrooms, rocks, hollow logs and flowers added to bring new life
3) More animal variants - Cow (buffalo in savannah and yak in snow biomes also moobloom), horse (zebra in savannah), chicken (duck variant in rivers) etc
4) More weather conditions - Clear skies, Cloudy, Foggy, Windy, Hailstone, snowstorm, sandstorm should be added. None of these would hurt the player and just be there to change the vibe of each biome.
5) More ambience - fireflies will be added but not just to the swamp. Other bugs such as grasshoppers, flies, ants, butterflies etc should be added. Birds should also be added. More ambient sounds such as chirping and wind
6) Desert, Savannah and/or Badlands updates - I hope these get added soon but they should also add something extra to them imo considering how long we have had to wait for these updates. For example, adding a giraffe or elephant to the Savannah, scorpions to the desert etc
Of course im not expecting all of this in this update but i believe mojang should dedicate themselves to delivering most if not all of these in different drops during this next year or so.
They won't add seasons, only seasonal biomes so that people can choose what they want
Another one...
Three commands (mob spawn change, baby grow to adult enabled/disabled, and mushroom spreading enabled/disabled).
And uh story mode dimensions
This just sounds like a heavily modded version of the game.
Changing savanna grass to golden would fix 80% of its problems
I used to watch his videos about new updates added to the game everytime. How the times have changed I watched one of his videos fully like in 2 years gosh that was a very beautiful era playing minecraft and watching his lets play series, building farms and machines.
