  • Would you like to see information from one record somewhere else? Maybe you want to see quotes, cases, or opportunities on an account record. Maybe you want to see which account owns an asset, or which partner has recently serviced that asset? Or maybe, you've created a relationship between these things but you can't see it on the page. In this video we'll show you how to create the field that links the records, and then how to put the related list on the record page, so you can see it. Use a lookup field or a master/detail field to link one object to another. Edit the page layout and add the field as a related list. Add the columns you want to the related list. Did you know you can have a lookup field that looks up to the same object, multiple times? For example, you can lookup to the account that owns an asset, and you can lookup to the partner account that just serviced the asset.
