- Validation Rules in Salesforce verify that the data entered by a user meets certain criteria before the user can save the record. Salesforce Admins set up the rules as statements, which act like yes/no questions - the answer must be no to all of them. If not, an error message appears, where the admin has explained what the user must do to correct the record, before clicking “Save” again.

OMG, I have been working as a Data Analyst for 4 years and you just don't know how many admins are not setting up validation rules. Not having those rules set up and providing free-text is data cleaning from HELL for a data analyst. I am watching your video so that when I start helping small businesses setup their CRM it will have rules on top of rules
