I really hate when Hasbro uses mold colored plastic in place of metallic paint. Makes the figure feel cheapened. But its still a good looking figure. I just hate seeing plastic swirls on what are supposed to be metallic parts
He looks cool definitely only few angles he looks like Hopkins. Collector of both classic and mcu. Behind on MCU due to only started collecting 2 years ago so missed tons of Figures

Mcu odin height is 5'7 whereas comic odin is 6'9
I think you’re overreacting to the upper torso being too thin compared to the belt.
TO see how much of a miss this figure is, just google search the hot toys 1/6 Odin figure. That one gets the armor right. The upper chest armor is way off here.
The more I look at it. It looks like the red paint from the cape, bled into those gold "circles" and caused them to turn like a bronze color.

I think this figure looks great. Not being able to stand up is ridiculous, Hasbro needs to test their stuff before they release it. I mainly collect Marvel Legends MCU, but i also buy the main X-Men cartoon/Jim Lee figures/characters.
I find ankle swivel adds to the articulation & not limits it, in the same way a boot swivel would add to more dynamic posing.
It’s not as sturdy though
@@MCUcollector24 I wonder if it's just a problem with this fig? I find there's no problem with sturdiness with mafex, figma & figuarts etc which swivel or even Marvel Legends like the Retro Apocalypse fig for example
Did they give up on the digital faceprint? That doesn't look like Anthony Hopkins at all. Of course, they never captured Chris Hemsworth or Tom Hiddleston very well either.
I don't know. Quicksilver looks bad to. I think they use them when they can and when they can't they just do the best they can. Like the BW legends. Yelena and the original Red Guardian didn't look like they used the face tech. But then you see how awesome the Shang Chi legends look. The Disney plus way looks good to except that Loki lol. Looks like he's missing his eyebrows. But then look how good the Melina and new Red Guardian look lol
They are using it but it's limited by the sculpt. If the sculpt is off then the painting process they use isn't going to fix that.
Some figures I bet they can actually get the actor in(or Disney provides files) that the Hasbro team can take a 3D scan.
Otherwise they have to work off HQ images.

This figure stands just fine. As always, your reviews come across rushed and unplanned. I got mine, took a moment to get the stance right, and he's been standing just fine on my shelf all day.
Mobius supposed to be showing up on Target shelves as early as this week according to Marvelous news if anyone is interested. I know I am but I'm on east coast and apparently they hit the west coast first.
Hope they send out my preorder before it hits shelfs

I thought the comic version Odin paint scheme was dull back when it was released. I thought Odin is a king and he should look like it.

It bothers me how no one address how the colors on the armour are all wrong.
1) that was a comic book Odin you were comparing to this new Odin. Not a movie figure, not from a movie wave. 2) Gungnir is a spear, not a staff. 3) Hemsworth is 6'3", Hiddleston is 6'2", Hopkins is 5'9", Blanchett is 5'8". None of those heights are necessarily relevant to their portrayals in the movie because facts were fudged to create a fictional cast of gods, but if you're looking to their real heights as guides, yeah, she's too big, and the old man is still generously too big. If you were looking to the comics, Thor is 6'6" and Odin is 6'9", officially, so in that case, Odin is actually undersized. Hasbro is clinically retarded with scale. 4) the balance issue you're having isn't because of the balls going up into the shins, is the detents in the ankle. Hasbro is not the only component that fucks this up, if the detents on the disk aren't aligned together, you get, maybe, one foot flat while one is either plantar flexed or dorsiflexed in a way that destabilized the figure. In the worst car of this, neither sits flat, so you have to either take deep, splayed stances to get both feet down, or you get gradual tipping like your Odin did (bedbugs when you're pressing down on the articulation, you get it to stop between detents, but when you release the pressure, the plastic slowly rebounds and stretches back to the nearest detent) you can A) add a figure stand if you have a flat fot yor B) pop the foot off and sand the fucking detents off the ankle disc or C) get that bitch a throne and sit his ass down looking all cool and All Fatherish.
10/10, I hate when the foot detents line up with anything OTHER than flat.
Every time and Every figure video when its time for articulation test, it miraculous will stand on its own ahahahaha!

Id love to have a nice odin figure for my collection but this aint it. They failed on this figure in my opinion. The colors are so far off its just odd. I found 2 at target but had to pass em up cause i just aint feeling it. Maybe if he goes on sale.
