Iiiinteresting little topic in the beginning, about consuming material that is moral vs. immoral. I guess one aspect is intent, such as educating yourself or analyzing characters and observing how their flaws influence their behavior; but if the intent is to be entertained for the satisfaction of one’s ungodly desires with no result of it helping you grow as a person (at least) or glorify God (at best), then that’s where it becomes questionable. When entertainment is enticing, it can saturate your entire mind and when it’s of the questionable moral nature, that’s when, I believe, we have a responsibility to check ourselves, like Cassie said, monitor our thoughts/what comes out. That’s why I have such a problem with so much media of today, it showcases flawed characters and glorifies them and their actions as heroic without depicting them as needing to transcend in some way, and that I think is confusing even for a mature mind. If they don’t need to transcend then they don’t need God, and if they don’t need God, then what’s the point? That was a lot, haha 😅
