Lovely video. I have 3 white dots on the side of my foot from my cats claw when I was a kid and I smile whenever I notice it decades later. :)

Loved your video - and the ray of sunshine that was behind you while you filmed in the park! 💖 Very pretty. Welcome to America and so glad you're having such a good time with your boyfriend. I live near Niagara Falls, NY, so it takes us about 8 hours to drive to NYC, so we don't go that often. Last time we were there, though, we made sure to stop at The Strand. I brought a list of book titles with me that I couldn't find anywhere else, and they had each and every one of the books I was looking for, so that was fun! And I know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed in that store. It's a lot to take in upon crossing the threshold. As you were video taping the bookstore shelves, I spied a book I want to get for myself!!! So, thank you. The book is "The Unfortunate Life of Worms" and I just got a B&N gift card for $25 which will cover the cost of the book. How delightful is that?!! One last question: how do bookstores in America compare to those in Australia? Safe travels home! 🤗

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! On our trip we visited the Canada side of Niagara Falls and drove from Montreal to NYC so I definitely understand why you don't go often!
I loved the cover of that worm book! 😄It looks so interesting and I love that you could book shop through the video haha Let me know how it is once you've read it!
To answer your question, it's hard for me to say for sure as I didn't visit a lot of other bookstores in the U.S. But I would say that Aus bookstores have a lot more Aus titles and less U.S. published books. Which translates to a larger selection of general fiction and less fantasy and sci-fi etc (which I am more drawn to) in Aus stores. So a lot of the recommendations I see are sometimes difficult to find in stores! And in the larger book stores, we eventually get a lot of U.S. published books, but it's often a year or two after first publication. So, to find books I want, I have to do more online shopping than in person which I don't prefer! It is getting a little better over time though 😊

Thank you for sharing your visit to a really nice bookshop. I was surprised that a book that is no longer in print (that book was introduced by a youtuber) is still available at that shop in the banned book section. So cool 😮
