Totally agree on fowl, underrated
I've eaten fried eggs every morning for 60 days straight now.
still love 'em
Test the 3rd parallel over the 3rd foxy tbh and see how you feel. I play 2 foxy 3 exceed and I'm way happier to guarentee my bagooska than I am to ever see foxy more than once a game. Congrats! I really like the list I'd personally want to fit will cause it helps play through interruptions and secure the grind game even further but other than that it looks great
Saw you got 3rd at Sneak Attack regionals yesterday, was it with the same list?
Could we play Chalice over droplet if we don’t own any? Or what would you play over the droplet for budget options?
The only time chalice is weaker , would be against despia when they summon guardian chimera !
I own droplets , but prefer chalice because I don’t like discarding cards in my hand.
But it’s all preference
Chalice is arguably better if you play a lot of hand traps making discards more costly. Go for it.
@@averagejoe9229 its not better because u cant respond to droplets u can to chalice
how do u counter the flunder matchup? only match im kinda worried about for nats next week.
if you make bagooska they cant play
D Barrier should also be great in the swordsoul matchup
The deck is well build if we don't consider a card that FTKs salamangreat : Nibiru. With this kind of build you just go on, play and pray the opponent doesn't have the Level 11 Rock monster in hand, it's a choice. But with this kind of build, you can still cut 2 exceed and 3 droplet and make space for 2 will 2 more Roars and one more rage, so you can have hands that can put interruptions without going to the 5th summon. Or maybe play the go first with this kind of build then post side switch to an anti nibiru strategy. With will in hand, you can go play the full combo ans stuff get your traps and stuff first try the rank 4 play then if nibirued you can use will to get ur link back so ur roar is live, if not you are winning. At least I think this is the safest way for more consistency in results
3 Roar 2 Rage? Wat. Lmao.
@@RADRyan5Ds yes you want to maximize on traps in order to have maximum hands of one cyberse = set with balelynx at least plus a trap, the counter trap being better we can play 3 and the roar needing more set up to be more powerfull we just need 2 to play around nibiru if we dont have will in hand. In this meta since despia is the deck most represented, a deck played with basically no handtraps, we can allow ourselves to not play around nibiru game 1, but after game 1 respecting nibiru is a must. Salads have a hard time making a decent board nowadays, and if we add nibiru in the equation, it's so tough to play it and consistenly top or do good results with it. Yes you can hve success one tournament without problems, but i can assure it wont be everytime, unfortunately nibiru is a useless card most of the time, but very effectif against decks like salads while useless against the real threats
@@zorcnecro6910 If you maximize on traps like that you actually have a higher chance to brick and auto lose the die roll.
@@RADRyan5Ds that's not true, you play 1 gazelle 3 foxy 3 spinny 2 jaguar 1 falco 1 fowl. 11 salad monsters plus the 3 circle 3 cynet 3 bufferlo. So 20 in 38 (if we dont count the desires). You have basically 98% chance to open with a starter at least in ur first 5 cards, and 86% to open with 2. You will never brick now with salads, especially with 3 circles back. But you have to chose either to accept to lose to nibiru most of the time, or play around it most of the time, it's a choice. Unfortunately, playing around nibiru means a not so much frightening board and the game is so fast right now that it's hard to block everything decks like despia Punk virtual world and so on throw at you with one or 2 interruptions. Chosing to not play around nibiru at all can be very rewarding or very deadly. Very rewarding because if you manage to maximize ur interruptions or put a bagooska against decks despia, you immediately boosted your winning chances (that s if they don't draw super poly), but if you were to be nibirued, its game over wihout a fight. You will have success one tournament and once people take into consideration salads in the meta, you will be punished.
a legend
Cynet mining is bad imo now that circle is at 3, if it gets ashed you go neg 2 most of the times.
It is a neg 1 because they used Ash, and it is still worth it since they only have one Ash and you have a lot of Ash targets. If you stop using mining then they can ash circle or Gazelle or Miragestallio. As long as Gazelle is limited mining is not incorrect to play.
@@averagejoe9229 u say that like u can get to miragstallio, gazelle etc. Ive been playing the deck for like 2years now and opening cynet mining + a good discard + a way to get to miragestallio is unlikely. Unless u open like foxy+spinny ur turn ends after getting ashed on cynet mining.
@@averagejoe9229 sick three card hand bro
@@eclipse3479 yep I got to Diamond 1 with ease on Master duel using only 3 circle and no mining. Also played over 1,200 matches with salad. So i agree with you but it's not necessarily incorrect to play mining, I don't think its optimal tho.
You need as much access to gazelle as possible, even if it hurts getting ashef on that spot. Having 7 gazelles is better than just having 4.
No will in the deck make me wonder how he went 6th place,it is a solid card and be considered a amazing card because is a continuous extender which makes the deck solid , salamangreat is not a hard lock down deck but is a low to medium with each turn to be stronger. I hope konami to give one more lvl 3xyz and a solid salamangreat dragon link 4 monster
Why no will as an extender?
Congrats, is droplet neccesary ?
in this meta yes. what are u going to do vs Flunder if they poop barrier statue on the field?
forbidden chalice is nice budget option
How many players?
this commetn here makes me question the imperm in the deck
You kinda need it to deal with mirrorjade unfortunately but its probably the worst hand trap in the deck since you cant use it if you draw it off heatsoul on the opponents turn
No will?
any reasoning behind no pot of desires?
He did, a better question is why no will of the salamangteat
@@Torpedoman316 probably would just rather have more tech cards. You don’t really wanna send it for gazelle because you don’t really have space 3 to hard draw it. And testing the deck myself I’m not a fan so I can see possibly why he didn’t play it
No will?
