Carlotta, who faked illness, forced Luisa to travel back with her to Caňada Seca. Luisa reproaches Carlotta her very oldschool approach to sexuality. Antonio receives phone call and when Mariana asks, he tells her, that Fernando was envenomed at his home, at Salinas' residence. Gabriela brought the small sack with white powder, which was found by Felisa. Doctor Paes sends the powder for immediate analysis, what the substance is. When Antonio asks doctor Paes about involving police forces, because it could be classified as assassination attempt, doctor Paes tells Antonio, that the things has to come one by one. First is to check the powder and if it is venom, to prepare an antidote and second is to call police. After a while, doctor Paes returns, that the powder is venom and Fernando Salinas was envenomed. As a reaction, Manuela faints. Anais/Isabel is hysteric and yells at Bernarda, how badly she got rid of the venom. Bernarda replies, that she is running low of her mental capacity to help Isabel. Anais/Isabel doesn't care, who will fall or who will die on her quest to reclaim all property, when she, as Isabel Salinas, was the wife of Fernando. With Gabriela's help, Manuela returns to Adelaida's flat, where Mercedes takes over the care of Manuela. Manuela talks with her mother and feels, there is something, what her mom doesn't want to tell her. After a short while, Mercedes starts the narration about Corrado and his life before meeting Mercedes and before Manuela was born. First shocking information is, that Isabel Guerrero and Manuela are sisters on father's side, Corrado was father of both. As the narration progresses, about what happened in Sicily, Manuela can't understand, why her dad, Corrado, didn't want to see or visit Isabel and her mother, madame Guerrero. Now comes the second shocking information, madame Guerrero wasn't mother of Isabel. True mother of Isabel is Bernarda. Crying Manuela now fully comprehends, why Bernarda tried to evenom her, why she tried to lose Manuela sanity. Manuela reminds herself as well last talk between her and her father. He tried to tell Manuela about Isabel and who she is. Rudy and Elisa talk, because they feel confused with behaviour of each other. This discussion ends with intimate scene and it seems, that relationship between Elisa and Rudy is relatively OK again. Doctor Paes tells Gabriela and Manuela, that he will check the progression of the venom analysis and if the antidote is prepared already. After the intimate moments spent together, Elisa tells Rudy, that she will move back to Genoa, where she will not have to face hidden presence of Manuela. When she asks Rudy, if he will travel with her, he doesn't respond. Manuela tells Gabriela about Isabel, about Bernarda and Corrado and how she is related to Isabel. Suddenly, doctor Paes comes and tells Gabriela and Manuela, that the antidote is prepared but it could happen, that it will not have any effect. Manuela and Gabriela start to pray silently. Carlotta forced Luisa to go to confess her sins. When father José asks, why Carlotta and Luisa are making unacceptable noise, Carlotta slowly tells, what happened. That Luisa (still unwedded) had sex with man. After a short while, father José fakes, that he will confess Luisa. When Carlotta is sent away due to confession secrecy, father José only asks, if Luisa made love with Lorenzo. She agrees and he tells his plan. Luisa will move to sacristy and will make phone call with Lorenzo. Meanwhile, father José will confess Carlotta. When done so, father José informs Carlotta, that she has to confess herself because of two sins. First sin is, that she faked the illness. Second sin is, that she forced Luisa to return with her to Caňada Seca. Art visits Mercedes and they play some sort of game, when Art makes offers to Mercedes. He wants to spend his life with her, because he is in love with her. Mercedes will accept this offer, but she has one condition, Art will move from Dorothy's flat. Firstly, he wants to resist, but than, he takes this condition into consideration. Lorenzo makes phone call to Caňada Seca and wants to talk with Luisa. The call is answered by Carlotta, so Lorenzo tries to hide his name, but after a short while, he tells, who he is. Carlotta accepts, what Lorenzo are telling her, only under one condition, Lorenzo will travel to Caňada Seca and will marry Luisa, because he "dishonoured" her. Art returns to Dorothy's flat and tells her about Mercedes' condition. Dorothy tells Art, that he can do, anything he wants, because there are no forced bonds between them. Doctor Paes tells Manuela and Gabriela, that Fernando's health state is slowly improving. Manuela visits Fernando in the hospital room.
