Looks yummy. I would probably put in on noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, I've never seen gammon on the west coast of the US. I don't think our ham would work. Mostly our ham is already cooked. Makes me want to come visit. 😂
Hello, You can buy a non slip mat from ALDI stores. It comes in a roll and you just cut it to size. Some people line you kitchen drawers also. Nothibg worse when you cut a finger with a knife. Most likely we all have done at one stage. Absolutely love the recipe. I am not sure what a gamon joint is? I will ask my butcher. Or buy a similar joint.. Keep the recipies coming along please. Dave said I should not mess with it before it was charged up, but you know me eager to use it. I am afraid this is not for me shredded like that,I really don’t like shredded meat ,cooked gammon sliced with a mustard sauce would be very nice,as I would like more texture,also I like to slice cabbage,and sauté in butter,as that way it retains more vitamins ,it also retains more texture.However nice recipe,and many people seem to like their meat shredded.
I've never liked cabbage since school days when they used to keep it on a low simmer on the cooker all morning. The smell wafting from the kitchen made me heave. I think that's why I don't like brussels either.
