Oh wow, Ian... in my opinion, this is your best dish/video yet. You can't beat home made burgers, but the cheese and those crispy onions. Oh. My. Lord. I've got some Homer Simpson drooling action going on here, haha. Mate, I've got to give it to you... this is perfection. I've no idea why but watching this brought back old memories from when my Great Grandma used to cook and I'd like to request that you give it a go, please? 😊 It's 'Brazilian Feijoada' which is a black bean and meat stew. It can be made with bacon, chorizo, pork and obviously black beans. She used to batch cook it over the winter months and it was even tastier when the weather was proper cold. Thanks mate. ❤️
That was nice seeing you make the Oklahoma burger,it was at one point in time 50% meat, and 50% onions to cut back the cost.I don’t know if you know, or not ,but American burgers never have spice in them, only salt, and pepper on the out side,to get a good burger we never do much more than very gently push it together,I don’t think many use burger presses, minced meat becomes tough if you handle it much.American mustard is the only sauce on the Oklahoma burger, but of course anyone can use what they like, buns are steamed on top of the burger. We have a place called White Manna in New Jersey, just across the river from NYC that also makes their burgers similar, just with full size burgers, not smashed burgers, been in the same place since 1946,but were founded at the Worlds Fair in 1939
Ian, you do realise when you say ' enjoy your weekend' we watch it 2 days later on a Monday lol. I would have used all of the mince beef to make bigger burgers. They do look tasty though.
What's not to love, burger, cheese, fried onions yum yum. Just stick some tinfoil over the pan if you haven't got a lid but to be fair cheese melted anyway. American mustard for me though
