Strict action against pakistani’s spreading propaganda in gulf countries

  • KARACHI: The United Arab Emirates has decided to take strict action against Pakistanis from the Gulf countries who are spreading propaganda against Pakistan.
    United Arab Emirates Consul General in Karachi, Bakhit Atiq al-Rumiti, in an exclusive conversation with Geo News, warned Pakistanis not to stop spreading negative propaganda against Pakistan and its institutions or politicians while staying in the UAE.
    He said that negative propaganda against Pakistan was seen on social media by Pakistanis residing or visiting UAE, on which a large number of them were arrested and many were sentenced to 14 to 15 years.
    The Consul General said that more than 5 Pakistanis were sentenced to life imprisonment in this crime, most of them were expelled from the country and such Pakistanis will be unable to get visas for Gulf countries including UAE. They will not be able to go to Gulf countries either.
    Bakhit Atiq al-Rumiti warned Pakistanis to be careful while living in the UAE or the Gulf countries, not to be seduced by anyone and not to spread any propaganda against their country on social media, nor to post any negative propaganda on their pages. Share If they do so, strict action will be taken against them as per laws.
    He further said that if a Pakistani living in UAE shares or likes a negative post on Facebook or any other social media account, his page will also be blocked while in UAE.
    According to Bakhit Atiq Rumiti, citizens involved in such propaganda in Pakistan are also facing scrutiny in obtaining visas.
    In response to a question, he said that there is no restriction regarding the issuance of UAE visas, visas are being issued to Pakistanis, but the rules have been tightened.
