Hi there! We raise all of our own meats; poultry, beef and pork. We have on average about 100 chickens that are free ranged. The yoke color of our eggs are super orange and beautiful. The light yokes come from the grains fed whether home or commercial. We don't feed a lot of grains whatsoever, but instead feed fruits, veggies, and hays like alfalfa. chickens love an assorted diet. I know some wonderful people don't have the space to free range, so I like to share how much the hay makes a difference in eggs. I love to cook, we are what we eat, so I feed the animals out for their gut health, wellbeing and quality of taste. We have grown the tastiest meats; the key is in the protein! :) Its so good!
Wow, 100 chickens, that is wonderful!!! It sounds like you guys have a great routine and variety of fruits, veggies and hay. So glad it's working great for you. Thank you so much for commenting and sharing your flock with us, greatly appreciated!!
