This is a fantastic tutorial, there’s no stalling but at the same same it doesn’t go too fast, and you can visually see what you need to do if you get lost or confused! I was sent this by a friend to build on an smp and it was the best tutorial that I have ever used!
I wanted a nice looking storage house. Built this one in no time, with the whole thing made mostly of cobblestone, wooden planks and slabs. More storage space than I’ll need for a while. Bravo. Subscribed.

Just built it, I must have screwed up somewhere because I had to modify it so the roof was one block higher than the chests otherwise the top rows would have been useless, I also can’t figure out how to hang lanterns on the ceiling but either way I am happy with it thank you! 😊

I dont know if minecraft changed something since this was made, but as soon as I put a spruce slab over the top row of chests, they will no longer open.

but if you put one chest on the outside it will open because of the slab roof

Same here. I just had to raise the spruce slab to meet the other row then filled the gab next to it with darn oak slabs
I didn't build those chests because I hadn't got enough chests, but I decided not to add them as they wouldn't be accessible.

I like this decsign a lot. Its simple and easy to adapt to different biomes. I used bamboo and it still looks nice.

Thank you! Make sure you’re using slabs above the chests and not full blocks. You should be able to open them :)

The problem with this design is that the 5th chest above can't be open when you were using a smartphone.

With a build like this, I'd place two fence gates, spruce or dark oak, in the entrance. It would fit the aestetic.
