if you make your own village you have to give every building purpose, build shops for villagers and farms. i turn villages in my world into safe kingdoms that produce supplies based on the theme. so i have reason to branch out of my main base and travel
Additionally i like to a build in some stories, who lives there, does he have a secret past (and a dungeon under his house)? You can build a tunnel bandits use to break inside the storage house from beneath, some rooms are empty, on renovation, a few houses are on building stage, a ruined or recently burned down one, all that makes a town more alive and less stiff, at moment i'm working on a town on siege with broken ruins, siege engines and barricades burning things etc.
@CS Media that's exactly how I like to play. In the world I currently have I'm doing the same. For example I have a blacksmith that lives near a mine that he goes down into everyday so that anything the people in the village need be it tools or armor he can make for them but he doesn't want money for what he makes. He's the son of one of the founders of the village and he just wants to pay back the generosity they've shown his family ever since he was a kid. So instead of money the other villagers give him food and anything else he needs
I do somethign similar I make big towns name them stuff like red stone village and then have the buildings and farms all themed around red stone or my most common one being iron
Pimping out villages is something I do every time my Minecraft phase starts. Give them some walls to protect them from mobs, do guard towers, spruce up the houses, make a main square, branch it out with new districts when it's safe enough to start repopulating, really makes single player feel less about "you vs. the world," since you always have a hub full of goobers to return to. All the more heartbreaking when one of them manages to bubmle their way into drowning or falling from great heights but that's besides the point.
I just started this for the first time some days ago. It’s so much fun. Everybody gets a silly little name, a garden and a fancy house. I put a fence around the village so nobody gets lost and the wolves stop killing the sheep. Next project is a library an a monastery.
One survival project I built was a massive 38 story skyscraper with shops on the bottom, living space in the middle floors, and storage at the top, with the 38th floor being my personal penthouse. Took me about 5 irl days to complete. I'm so proud of it Edit: Almost exactly a year after completing the first tower, I've begun work on a second that is exactly identical in every way (don't even think about saying it. Yes, you). It's unfinished at the time of writing this but it will be completed soon:)
@ucnagato5681 haven't really been able to, I've been focusing more n trying to keep myself alive...life hasn't been all that great this year, imma be honest
@PonytailMC kinda late, but good luck man just keep focusing on yourself and hope that things will get better. Also, don't let life change who you are and the things you love to do.
I’ve never actually tried to make a survival project since well yeah, they take so long since I never have any plan ever, but since I’ve found the 30 Minecraft survival projects playlist from you, I may start doing some in my own worlds, thank Disruptive Builds!! Edit thanks for 102 likes, I appreciate it!
See....you're like me but I also have the problem of impatience and easily distracted or overplan and it gets out of hand and ends in a complete mess of half built stuff hahaha...🤣🤦
@@DanH-nk1myfor survival you have to balance your plan with the realistic plan. Finding the little details of the building, even drawing them out and gathering materials to put in a chest. It’ll help a lot to realize what you need and don’t need and save time.
I'm on the way of building a trading village in the server where I play with my friends and your videos are really useful to get new ideas to decorate empty spaces or improve the buildings I've already done. By the way I'm the only one in the server who cares about breeding villagers and enchanting my full netherite set. I feel like if I blow I will destroy everything
That underwater bridge/tunnel was so cool looking. I would have never thought to do that. Your build idea series has really helped me get some ideas for stuff I want to build. It's amazing what looking at a few things somebody else has done can do to spark your creativity
Yes!!! This game will never get old. Been playing on and off for the past 13 years, since it was in alpha, before there was even sprinting, hunger, and stackable food.
I love how your mine entrances are elevated, that's an excellent touch! Glad youre talking about the industrial design of your world, not just functional tools. Thank you!
I can't believe how talented you are to build. NGL, I'm an experienced MC player, 2 hardcore worlds running (3085 / 258 days), I'm great at exploiting some featrures, like emeralds (inspired by Luke TheNotable), but I'm terrible at building. Thank you for your amazing content!
I was actually stuck... i was like this sounds like osrs music but i was going thru the comments and was like... oh i guess people probably dont know runescape then i saw this
Thanks for these videos man. I’ve always dropped my survival worlds because I get bored with my bland designs - now I’m working on revamping a mesa and beach/desert set of villages that I plan to merge into a giant metropolis with floating gardens in the warm ocean
My base is a 50x50 glass globe (top half only) that covers a 70 block deep giant circular hole that contains a massive storage room, enchanting room, etc. First time ever building something so large in survival and im pretty proud. I also have 2 smaller bases with the exact same design right next to it with some farms in them
I wish I had creative talent. Every time I make a base it’s always ok and uses the same blocks, oak logs and planks, cobble stone and stone brick with some stairs for the roof which usually ends up looking really bad. I’m hoping that if I stay on my current world for long enough I’ll eventually get better.
In my old pc world I had: a tree house as base, a watermill, a wizard tower, a wool palace (the pink nightmare), a harbor, a sky city, a town for my villagers, different farms, a storage barn, a ice palace, a dwarf castle (the lonely mountain) and ofcourse minecart stations connecting all of my places. :)
This is genuinely incredible. It is so cool how much dedication one needs to take on this amount of work - especially in a hardcore world. You managed to complete all of this while maintaining a beautiful and cohesive aesthetic appearance and it is amazing what you've done with this world.
Everyone should want to build a museum for all the milestone blocks or every colour bed, banner, candle etc or just every biome or every block, there’s a lot of things you can put in a museum plus it keeps you busy collecting all the stuff
One of the projects I’m doing is a village, cuz I spawned in a village with a abandoned nether portal so far we went from closing the village with dirt to a nether wood stone wall lined with lanterns and red stained windows lighted by glow stone, now I have to make my subjects decent living space
A quick summary for y'all of what to build: - A base (can be secret) - farms (manual or automatic) - mob farm - mine entrance - villager trading halls - fishing dock - bridges (can be underwater) - nether portal entrance - storage houses - town/village (build from scratch or improve and existing one) - I would also do an enchanting room or tower as well

This video is incredible. Thanks to disruptive builds for such in-depth build ideas!! I'll be honest, I've never watched a video like this and been sucked in from the start. I usually lose interest and move on but this proved me wrong!
I love this base. Took forever to get the staircase right but I'm happy with the result. I decided to make it a haven for bees and have a bunch of hives and nests inside. I love it
I love the Runescape music in the background! So nostalgic! And the builds are some of the coolest I’ve seen and they don’t seem out of reach for the average Joe gamers like me! Overall, great on every level
I built that Ultimate Survival base in my Survival World as my first proper base. It’s on a small island surrounded by Jungle and with a moat and the path leads to a bridge. I built it using Deepslate and Jungle wood instead of the Spruce and Stone and it looks so good
Damm, that far end build at 6:09 of the dock is really similar to mine, what a coencidence. and i have my hardcore world for about 4 years, i just guess in so many players that minecraft have, some minecraft build designs can be almost identical. good builds by the way.
man if only there was a word for that underwater bridge, it could be a short word used to denote something that TUNNELS below something else. But man i just don't think there's a word for that

I was making a very close to perfect replica of the Bodiam Castle, but when I was building it, it was so wide that the far end was lost in the fog. The moving, bobbing, weaving, and bobbing forwards and backwards was a bit annoying to watch, but the builds are pretty cool.
In my hardcore world, I don't have a single building base. Instead, I made a japanese style village with different buildings for different purposes like a weapon warehouse, a food stock warehouse, a library where the enchantment setup is, a torii gate nether portal etc.
