I’ve been using the face masks from Origins since I was about 17 and I’ve tried basically all of them from their permanent core collection. My skin is currently oily-combination and my skin and eyes are both extremely sensitive. My number one concerns that I try to target in my routine are dullness & hyper pigmentation left over from my severe cystic acne, and the occasional hormonal breakout. I did take Accutane in 2016 so my skin type has fluctuated a lot, so if you watch past videos of my mine and I describe my skin type differently, that’s why!

And I thank you for your honesty! Also I so agree that the Drink Up Intensive Mask can be used anytime and is a beautiful product.
It basically peeled my skin off 😫 it was so painful and took forever to take off because it kept breaking off in tiny bits

The best mask from origins for people with dry skin/ rosacea/ sensitive skin (that’s my skin haha) is the soothing treatment mask from the megamushroom line. Even when the mask has fragrance, my skin has improve so much since I use it and doesn’t make your skin feel with that clay finish (which I hate). Just a reaaaaally calm, super soft and redness free. But maybe the whole combination of products has helped me:
At night I use (after getting rid of my makeup with the miscelar water by bioderma -considering that I don’t use makeup in my eyes) but I’m aware that I should use another gentle cleanser to really get rid of the makeup):
- the soothing treatment lotion by origins.
- then my prescripted metronidazol (attacks the demodex which is probably -it’s not really known- the main cause of rosacea)
- then I use the megamushroom soothing treatment moisturizer and the celestial moisturizer by lush (yes, both, just because I can’t decide hahaha). They both give you that “shiny moisturized finish”, not matte at all.
- and for my eyes I’m using the lifting moisturizer by origins.
I don’t always use the metronidazol for some periods of time and that’s pretty much (I think) I could really see if this other products were really accomplishing what they were promising.
For my day routine I keep it simpler:
- the same lotion.
- metronidazol (gel)
- the vitamine E moisturizer by The Body Shop, for dry skin. It’s a really thick moisturizer but it leaves a non-greasy finish. That’s why I prefer that moisturizer for my morning routine over the other 2 that I use at night. Just because I don’t know if I feel comfortable with the kind of greasy finish that those two ones give me when I use makeup.
- SPF. I use the one by la roche possay.

The charcoal masked burned my skin the first time I used it. I decided to continue using it, just making sure to rinse off before it dried completely and WOW! Works like a charm. It even helps my acne-prone thirty-something boyfriend!

I even sleep with it to get the extra smoothing, pore-cleansing properties of the mask.

The intensive hydration overnight mask- is it supposed to be rinsed off in the morning? Thank you for your reviews on these masks. I just got a trial pack of 4 of these and I'm really liking them so far.

What are the differences between the Sunday Riley Saturn mask and the Origins mask you compared it to? I was planning on purchasing the Sunday Riley one, but if the origins one is super similar I might get that one instead.
Okay here’s a little break down on the acne fighting ingredients haha
Sunday Riley: Zinc, Sulphur, Tea Tree, Manuka, Niacinamide
Origins: Camphor, Zinc, Sulphur, Salicylic Acid
The main differences are that the Sunday Riley Saturn mask is going to be less drying, it has a more creamy moussey texture which is a nice quality to have in a sulphur product, especially if you want a mask you can use super frequently. But the smell of sulphur/tea tree in that mask is truly pungent, I mentioned in my SR video that it literally taints everything around you lol. The Origins mask still has a slightly funky smell from the camphor but it’s more medicinal with a hint of sulphur. Something about me though is that I’m REALLY not picky with scents especially if it’s in an effective acne product so you may not like the smell of the Origins either. Like I said in the video I’d still recommend getting a sample if possible!

isabel del carpio I’ve addressed why I don’t make foundation reviews anymore numerous times on my channel & social media in the 3 years that have passed since I stopped making them regularly. I even have a video titled Why I Haven’t Been Doing Foundation Reviews. “I’m not interested anymore” is an explanation by the way. I don’t wear foundation anymore. They don’t interest me. If you need me to elaborate though, I started making those videos to help people with acne & I don’t have acne anymore. I don’t enjoy making them and they stopped performing well on my channel after my skin cleared up anyways. Nothing about my comment was rude but yours is entitled. You could’ve simply asked why if my response wasn’t enough. You don’t sound like someone I want on my channel anyways.

I HATE the out of trouble mask. I’m not usually too picky with scents but this one was just ghastly. Even when i took the mask off, the smell lingered for HOURS. I tried washing my face 3 times and the smell just wouldn’t go away.
To me that happens with the Sunday Riley Saturn mask, the Out of Trouble is way more tame for me haha

And I can’t speak for everyone but I only work with brands that allow me to share my genuine opinions, as you can clearly tell in this video lol.
