I second the Nameraka Honpo lotion at 8:44. Fantastic. Some of my favourite lotions feel like water when I splash & tap them on my skin and others feel like slippery gel-water but unlike water (and heavy face moisturisers) they absorb quickly like magic and leave my skin feeling really comfortable and soft. Some lotions leave a horrible gluey, tacky feel on the skin, as if they just cannot absorb so just sit there as a horrible layer. They leave me wanting to wash my face almost immediately. Some have conspired to trigger horrible fungal acne/malassezia folliculitis (in tandem with other products for sure) and this condition makes skin look bumpy and rough and takes AGES to truly get rid of, which is truly distressing. Luckily, most of the skincare you showcase and discuss on your channel is affordably priced so I tend to do what you do, which is just fill a basket when shopping in Japan and experiment with them over time to see which one helps and which one leaves that gross, tacky layer on the skin that is almost resistant to being washed off entirely. Bleaurgh! Love your channel. I'm thrilled that borders are open and a sojourn to Japan will be on the cards for 2023! Happy New Year Tina and viewers!! 🎉🥳Love reading your comments and learning from your enthusiastic tips and horror stories alike. 💖
@@coffeenciggy If you can leave a nice long paragraph detailing your skin type and main concerns as well as the things you most dislike in your skincare I'd be only too happy to give you a list of great items to try out. Your rough age would be helpful too. PS=Fungal acne just isn't discussed often enough and yet so many people have it. I wonder if it originates somewhere in the gut and manifests in the largest organ in the body, which is the skin? Hmmm. It's a horrible, stubborn thing.
I was living in Taiwan and at 7/11 they gave me Hada Labo as a prezzie. Hence a decade later I am still using it. I never was a fan of any plastic procedure. So, by accident I discovered this. Then when I was trying to figure out what I use I found your reviews which really helped me as I did not know what exactly I was using. My Taiwanese friend just said it's really good. But people like you can introduce so much for some people like me. I shared this video on my Facebook channel since I can see the difference. Ta, 🍯.
Have you tried the Kikumasamune Sake Emulsion?? It's so cheap and comes in the hugest bottle, and it literally made my skin so baby soft I was shook! I think you would enjoy it :)

Hi Tina, I am new here, and I love to watch your videos about skincare, the videos are great thank you!! the emulsion product is something new for me so I have a question...when do you put the emulsion, after the toner or after the serum? Or essence ?? Lol...there are so many steps so I don't know what will be the best? But I need to try that as well with my dry skin, thanks again!!! You are great!!!
I ❤❤❤❤❤ emulsions. I have combo skin and I feel like they do a good job of keeping my skin feeling well balanced, not too dry or too oily. Currently using the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Lotion and I’ve been loving it but I’ve also gone through several bottles of Hada Labo Gokujyun Milky Lotion in the past. Instead of a cream at night I use squalane from HABA mainly on my drier areas like my cheeks and in the daytime I feel like just the emulsion is enough.
Doesn't the hatomugi conditioning milk lotion break you out? It has mineral oil in its ingredients.... the hatomugi toner is fine but the one of the first ingredient for the lotion is mineral oil and that usually causes acne, atleast for me it does.

Hi, can you share what you found works nice and those that didn't work for you?
@@coffeenciggy If you can leave a nice long paragraph detailing your skin type and main concerns as well as the things you most dislike in your skincare I'd be only too happy to give you a list of great items to try out. Your rough age would be helpful too. PS=Fungal acne just isn't discussed often enough and yet so many people have it. I wonder if it originates somewhere in the gut and manifests in the largest organ in the body, which is the skin? Hmmm. It's a horrible, stubborn thing.
Thanku for the review! I've only tried korean products and was looking for Japanese ones. I am gonna order hatomugi and hada labo from Amazon Japan.
I cannot wait to try some K & J- Beauty products! Thanks your sharing
The Hada Labo Premium Milk is one of my holy grails 👑. The best!
I haven't!!! I remember adding it to my cart a couple months ago but now realised I never checked out... lol I will get my hands on it to try!
I have the Kiki Emulsion. Love it. The Kiki Moisturizing Cream is good too.
I have it right now and I love it. Plus it’s pink hehe
I use this on my body only this product has a high amont of mineral oil in it it's third on ingredients list. I like it it is reasonably priced 4 the contents size.
I wanna like it soooo bad bc it's so cute-looking and seems very good but I sampled it and the smell bothers me too much I fear
U so cute 😻💕 you remember me of Giselle of aespa but also youre absolutely our own beauty and I mean a godess! And your personality is so cool, I just learned so much with your video
Thank you so much for doing it
Honestly, I am amazed with your neck skin, it looks like young teenanger skin ❤
you should make a video about the must-haves products to purchase when u travel to japan :D
I’m loving the video and I’m adding some of these to my cart online. I really don’t like western skin care because they strip the skin with alcohols and irritate with fragrance. They also don’t provide enough moisture imo.
You should totally do a review of the Hutomugi product line. They are so affordable and have a decent selection, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
I love this video! You have started my love for toners, so I think milky lotions might be next 🎉🎉
I am so happy we are now have japanese store here in Az i can snag them anytime.
Guuurl spill the highlighter plsss it looks so goood!!!
tbh it's probably the mist I applied on top of my makeup because I don't specifically remember using highlighter this day 🤣🤣 sioris - time is running out mist FYI!
hi! i’ve been watching you videos for a while and i’d love to see you talk about vegan and cruelty free skincare ❤ even if you’re giving recommendations it’d be nice to show vegan options
edit: spelling
I second this. I’d love to use more J beauty brands, but struggling to find cruelty free options. Even if not fully vegan, there is just no reason to test ingredients on animals!
manyo has a vegan skincare line! i currently have their cleanser and cream from the line and so far they’ve been pretty good
I have the naturie conditioning toner. Love it for mornings in the summer or paring it with actives. Definitely a bang for your buck
Hi please do an updated cushion video including the cosrx one you used here 🥰
I love your makeup look here, it looks so light and natural ❤️ may I know what you used though?
I use the Sana Soy Milk Emulsion. I bought it in the Asian Store here in MTL for only 10CAD.
How is the soy milk emulsion? & Woah at such a great price 👌
Hatomugi have multiple Sunscreens you should try Tina! My holy grail! I think they recently released a 50+ SPF (Last few of months?) ❤
Love this video 💕💕💕
omg this video came out at the perfect time cause ive been looking for a moisturising type product thats not too heavy of a cream but not too light and gel-like to use later during spring (yes I like to plan what changes I make to my routine in advance) and when u talked about the hada labo gokujyun premium milk I knew thats the one to look into for sure! I have dehydrated acne-prone skin with some dry patches,, awhile ago I tried out the shirojyun premium milk, it was pretty good (really evened out my skin tone over time and it was more glowy!) but im not repurchasing cause its been reformulated now without tranexamic acid :( so yeah. maybe sometime later I'll try out the toner of this line too :D
Love your make up look on this video and thank you for your sharing dewy products 😊❤
Omg, you're so amazing, glad I discovered your channel. Subscribed. I'd be all over nyu-eki myself. Wonder how the path and exchange between Japan and Australia goes, sounds interesting!
I love Japanese essences. They are lovely.
Hi Tina, I love your channel. What do you recommend for dry, mature skin. I fly a lot with work and I struggle to find products that keep my skin hydrated during and after a flight. Thank you.
My how times change. Back when I was a young kid of 20, that was considered greasy skin, and we did our best to take away the oily look with powders. Now, it's a desired look. 😂
Thank you so much for making this video!! ❤❤❤
What about your awesome glowy/shiny eyeshadow ❤
I ❤❤❤❤❤ emulsions. I have combo skin and I feel like they do a good job of keeping my skin feeling well balanced, not too dry or too oily. Currently using the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Lotion and I’ve been loving it but I’ve also gone through several bottles of Hada Labo Gokujyun Milky Lotion in the past. Instead of a cream at night I use squalane from HABA mainly on my drier areas like my cheeks and in the daytime I feel like just the emulsion is enough.
Such a great video!! Most grateful!!
Doesn't the hatomugi conditioning milk lotion break you out? It has mineral oil in its ingredients.... the hatomugi toner is fine but the one of the first ingredient for the lotion is mineral oil and that usually causes acne, atleast for me it does.
I have new skin care products from the Saqina brand (Japan) , could you make a video about them, or what you know.I haven't been able to find much information and I would like help Haha ❤❤
the naturie hatomugi lotion have mineral oil and paraben, what are your thoughts about it
Hello from Turkey Tina thanks your recommends and your advices I bought a lot of j-beauty products from Stylevana and everything is graet Thank you so much 💋🥰
Great video. I am using Illiyoon ato cream but finding I am not moisturized enough. Is any cream better than that? I have combo skin, but dry around nose area. Would love to hear from you beautiful 🫶🫶
Well can u tell for redness and sensitive skin should I buy nature lotion or purito centella unscented cream?
@Tina can you please advise what would you recommend for mature skin out of all the products that you have mentioned? And in what routine do you follow to get a dewy skin?
I am from Australia, and thank you so much for a great video.
🥰
I'm gonna need to know just how good the cleansing oil is from muji for it to be your holy grail 😩
