You're not as negative about the film as I am. "Dances With Wolves" was way better. It's in a different league. I kept thinking of "Dances With Wolves" while watching "Horizon." "Dances With Wolves" is so much more natural and real. "Horizon" (in my opinion) is sappy, overly dramatic and overly romantic. That is why I agree with your analysis of the score. The score was to build up the romanticism. I disliked it. And as much as I like "Amazing Grace," and as much as I liked hearing it when the credits came up after the film, I thought that choice of a song was funny in that is contributed to the over romantic nature of the film
