"The Swarm is even tougher than the Locust" I'm not sure about that one, didn't the Locust have a worm the size of a city, an army that encompassed the entire planet from the inside, a military structure with thought and planning as well as monstrous creatures they added massive firepower to?
@@thomaswilliams9930 Im pretty sure that wasn't the case. But to back up your case, the swarm have all of that, except a centralised military, which is backed up by their biological superiority such as as using humans to reproduce and also being able to hack DB's. Nothing works like using your enemies weapons against them. Edit: also the fact that the Swarm are the EVOLUTION of the Locust AFTER surviving the lightmass bombs and that wave (I forget) that Adam Fenix sent out, that should be enough reason alone.

After playing the games I HIGHLY DISAGREE WITH the COMMENT THE SWARM WERE TOUGHER. he said he barely survived while they pulled his kid into the dark screaming. That meant they let him live, where as the locust would have not been making that mistake. The locust were ruthless aswell compared to the swarm

I like how on the beginning when plane or helicopter where going down the dude said fuck you when the guy kicked him out then some objects took them with the dude (forgot the name)

Somehow, "Floating down a lava river on a giant door" is more outrageous to me than Gears of War: Judgement's "riding a boat down a city skyline" feat.
I'm late getting on board for Gears 5 but found a copy for a very good price. After the reviews and praise for the games single player I'm definitely looking forward to it. Not even bothering with the MP. Gears MP has been a mess since the second game. Looks like I'll be getting some dlc as well.
It wasn't cliffhanger really. The goal was the use the serum they extracted to "bust" the hives. Hence the term, "HiveBusters". So it just leads to that.

This was one of the best campaigns to play in a while, call of duty cold war is broken. No matter how many times i redo the missions the code for the decryption mission doesnt work. Ac valhalla ive stopped halfway to finish on a series x with better graphics
I cannot play that game because it stutters a lot. I have 140fps and still every 2 seconds the screen tears and stands. Gsync works with every other game. It's the only game I played recently that does that. So thank you for this playthrough. At least I can pretend with a controller in my hand :^)

They put on the mask so they arnt KOed when they get dropped into the nests. So they will be at the heart of it when they deploy the toxins. Its an explanation of the hive busters game mode.

The makers of Gears of war are slow about putting out new material Hive busters has been out a yes now me and the wife have completed the game several times now...is there ever going to be a Gears 6??? I mean what's taking so long COD has came out with two more games in the last two years but it's taking the makers of Gears 10 years to come out with something worth playing and gears tactics isn't it they could have kept that in the vault because it's boring like battlefield 2042.

This is the narrative pushed in a franchise which thrived on unfiltered gore.. It has now been filtered for mass appeal. Additionally the whole franchise has been demasculated in its colourful aesthetic, character arc, and humour taking away all serious threat. But anyway.. I can't shift opinions.. You'll learn in your own journey when you get older and see how the system works.

Those games had a darker tone and story and had a sense of urgency, now most of that has been kicked away to reach that mythical “wider audience”. In the previous GOW deaths meant something, they were impactful even if it was a unnamed character. Seeing a robot get “destroyed” is different than seeing something living “killed”. Now granted GOW 4 and 5 are not bad games. They are in fact great games. The heart of GOW is there but the soul is missing. Without the soul it’s just a cool looking husk. Wow that’s something Tai would say. (GOW2 character)

I know there's people out there who like you're really pretty things and, and when a game takes a more light-hearted approach, or even not as gruesome, people start saying that they're ruining the franchise. It's not that serious. That's like saying a franchise went downhill and you'll never play it again because instead of killing humans with blood, in this specific sequel they're killing robots or a different creature. If that really makes you think that a game is bad, you're not focusing on the game being fun, which games are supposed to be. If you're going to overthink gaming that much which is supposed to be fun, you should probably watch movies.

The Shield ability is so useless when given to a bot.... Mac just looks to the side and lets the bullets through anyways...
