Mike, I'd like to thank you for this video. If I ever had any intentions of doing a Haute Route race, this video has absolutely dispelled any notion of doing so. The only way I'd get up to 4W per Kg is on an electric bike with a super booster option. Having ridden through the Rockies on a steel frame, 12 speed Nishiki loaded down with old, heavy camping gear I know what long, multi-day uphill rides are like. At least you'll have massages to look forward to. I wish you much courage and no blisters.
