This is my first time watching Primoz interview, and he has such a great personality. Honest, calm, relaxed and yet still a fierce fighter on the road.
Come on guys, let’s move on from all these negative questions and sarcastic jokes for Primoz. You’ve just touched on his incredible trajectory and all he has achieved. Every cyclist has accidents, it’s part of the sport. I love the fact that he’s gone from having a visma stick up his a** to now being super relaxed and way more open. He looks like he’s enjoying his racing, and he deserves it. Chapeau Primoz, have a great 2025.
Based on that interview, I’m now a BIG Primoz fan!! How could you not be? Seems super likable, genuine and honest, answering questions that were bound to be painful, but that every fan wants to hear answered.
Boom!!! Greg we asked and you delivered. I wanted interview with this dude more than Tadej and you did not shy away from key questions. HUGE thank you!!!
We’ve seen his best. He can only win the TDF Bradbury style now. He’s definitely deserving. I think he’s won his last grand tour. I hope I’m wrong, but it seems that way.
Chapeau Gregor and FloBikes for securing this interview for the English speaking audiences. It’s great to hear Primoz speaking instead of the usual “ohh yaaa you know we fight again tomorrow” lol
So nice to hear Primoz is a nice guy, just as he always seemed to be. There's no shame in being left behind by someone (Tadej) whose just better than you are, either.
Probably the most naturally gifted, level-headed athlete in the pro peloton. Who buys a bike at 22 and a few short years later has a palmares like Primoz?? 4 Vueltas, a Giro and almost a Tour. Teams signing riders at 18 these days. A big champion with crashes that made him stronger.
Great interview. I started on a motorcycle as well at just six years old, then switched to cycling at thirty . Racing motorcycles really helped me a great deal on the bicycle , especially the mountain bike
I’m infinitely charmed by Tadej but there’s something about Roglic that I really like and makes me really root for him. It’s really nice to see this long interview from him since usually he never says anything.
Love this interview. I started following road cycling more seriously around 10 years ago and Lotto-Jumbo was the my favorite team, because they were hard working underdogs with no money (and rode Bianchis :P ). Imagine my hapiness when Roglič joined them and started winning big time. Who could ever know then what big things were to come for slovenian cycling? Anyway, Primož already secured a very special place in many hearts and he still keeps on inspiring people. Maybe 2025 will be the year when he has a lot of luck and competitors have a bit less of it :P Either way, all cards are gonan be mixed again and it's gonna be one hell of a season, I'm sure.
Very good interview. Asked several questions that I've definitely been curious about. Primoz is always so positive but you can hear in his voice at the beginning this was a rough year. Rooting for Primoz more than anyone to have a great year next year. The man deserves it. Hoping for a healthy big 4 at the Tour next year so we get to watch something special.
I liked the interview and appreciate Primoz’s humility and patience! It feels like your were trying to get him upset or irritate him though, which feels unfair. If that wasn’t the case, then disregard.
Best interview questions ever... Not the same old, same old. You get deeper... Nice work. Interestingly, despite what GCN commentators and others always say, I have never considered him to have had bad luck in tours. I think he's a guy that goes out and gives 200% all the time, and that is what matters to him... That's what I do on my bike every time I ride around my city. At the end I look at Strava, and think well, I did my best. Give it all, and don't look back... Primoz is relatable for the oldish, everyday cyclist that could only dream of being in the elite class.
A One of a Kind Rider! Primocz is a mature person and is openley about almost everything. Just a MAN. Other Riders are just KIDS even his strongest opponents. >Good interview, good answers. Even though he always get's these hard Q? I hope he does well!!! What a Character/Person. >Chapeau. >I mag ERM Greets Da Huckibua
He is ultimately having a conversation with his fans and he knows he will get those questions, or maybe not as it is tempting for interviewers to toss lame softball questions. And sports give its players and fans lots of life lessons and that was a big one for Primoz, his humiliating defeat in that floppy helmet and O the pain of failure, we can all relate, yet there is the joy of a comeback and Primoz is living that.
@@robbchastain3036 I understood the intent of the question. I just got a bit emotional hearing how he answered such a question, but yeah you made a fair point
@Cycleplayer117 O I'm right there with you, no Tour defeat had been so heartbreaking since Laurent Fignoun's eight-second loss to Greg LeMond in '89 and it was a time trial, too. The tears of a mighty two-time Tour champion over his defeat showed us the cost of his miscues, such as no aero bars, in that duel with his greatest rival and former teammate. And I was happy for Greg, while hurting for the great Frenchman who had congratulated Greg on a stage win just a few days earlier, true sportsmanship.
Nice interview Gregor, but…sometimes I think you forget that English is not the interviewees first language. You’re still the hardest working journalist covering the cycling scene! Thanks.
The move to Bora was a reaction to the decision to let Kuss win the Vuelta imo. In retrospect the right move! And a lesson for Visma: even within a team, the winner must be determined under competitive conditions. And this was likely not the case after stage 17 and the Angliru ascent. Vingegaard could have closed the 8 second gap.
@FloBikes you seem to have a rapport with Primoz and be able to get deeper with him than other interviewers - He's a class bike rider and person - It was said before that watching him race 'With Primoz you Feel the road'.
Top riders used to help others in the Team to win in prep for the major races. I think a lot of crashes happen at the front of the bunch these days. The misnomer that not being in the front is dangerous must be realised. If you're a top GC Guy then winning the small races aren't that important. The Team mates can go for those wins. Someone like Primoz can help Hindley win smaller races by doing a bit of work on the front earlier and then peel off. The competition at the front is high at every race now so being at the pointy end, competing for space is not worth the risks. Top riders have to learn this.
Interviewer trying a bit too hard to bait Primoz into giving a spicy answer. How do you expect him to dislike Tadej? They are countrymen and have always gotten along. There is no reason to suspect he has negative thoughts about him.
Wow almost sounded scripted, inspiring decent honesty. I wonder if the second language creates more authenticity or vulnerability to cut straight to truth. Great interview.
Really good to ask about not riding from 12 leading to crashes.. and giving him the chance to answer that question that gets whispered by commies in every race. He has different talents from ski jumping, he learned how to crash and to reset his dislocated shoulder by the road 😉 but also the back injuries that still haunt him
He’s not an interesting guy. Very chill and respectful but there’s something missing. No pizazz. No flair. No real spirit. Could not be more different than Pogi and his happy go lucky, insightful, fun personality. Remco to. Roglic is rather boring and doesn’t seem like the brightest Crayon in the box.
Primoz will always be my FAV rider. Such class.
Yes, agree. Tadej and Remco also seem to be nice guys, but Primoz has real sympa!
Truly seems like an all around good guy.
We are so lucky to have so many really nice people at the top of the cycling world.
Love you Primos. Great athlete. Beautiful personality. Sweet family.
He is a great guy!
Such a character, such a legend. Class act.
This is my first time watching Primoz interview, and he has such a great personality. Honest, calm, relaxed and yet still a fierce fighter on the road.
Chapeau flobikes for doing this interview, chapeau Rogla for maintaining such tremendous composure with the difficult questions… 2025 lets go!

Very easily. He’s dull as a spoon.
Primoz is the GOAT in the interviews, such a nice guy to listen to
Based on that interview, I’m now a BIG Primoz fan!! How could you not be? Seems super likable, genuine and honest, answering questions that were bound to be painful, but that every fan wants to hear answered.
EXACTLY :)
He is a good guy !
Slovenian sportsmen are such great guys. Even when they're serious, they're charming and easygoing. Just like Dončić, Tadej, and, here, Primož.
Pogacar is honestly the goat of cycling and Roglic knows it and just appriciate the history like everyone else. Class guy.
Primoz is such a class act. Like this guy a lot. So humble. Never change, Primoz. And good luck in 2025!
"I'm just in the moment". Wise words from Primoz.
I was screaming for Primoz on the 2020 TDF, such an amazing rider and a lovely guy. Chapeau!
Total 100% professional. What a guy!
I'm happy he left Visma. He's such an easy guy to root for and an exciting rider.
Can't believe they let him move. Remember it was Primož who put them on the map.
You have to love this guy!
Boom!!! Greg we asked and you delivered. I wanted interview with this dude more than Tadej and you did not shy away from key questions. HUGE thank you!!!
Thanks Buddy. I was thinking of you. 😃😃
Pogacar is my favorite, but I REALLY wish that Roglic can have a season without crashes so we can see his full potential.

I think he’s won his last grand tour.

Primoz so classy with his response to TP.

Primož is pure class and looks much more relaxed than at Visma. Happy for him.
We agree!
Very modest sportsman
Roglic is such a champion! Unbelievable perspective and down to earth personality.
Great, great, interview Gregor!
thanks
Thank you, rare to hear primoz so relaxed and open.
We were happy to get him to open up!

Nice job with Primoz. Look at his accomplishments. He’s a beast and looks like a great guy too!

I just love this guy ❤️
He's been a 😊super high performing and competitive athlete in two separate, vastly different sports. Amazing guy. Love rooting for him.
We're with you, he's got that magic.
Great to see Primoz open up just a LITTLE bit~😅
Well done, Gregor!👍
Appreciate that!
Great interview and insight

You didn’t hold back with your questions. Great conversation. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
In 2011 he bought first bike. 13 years later he has 88 wins in pro cycling and 5 GC wins. I think question about a bad luck is not quite appropriate
Such a nice and warm guy.
Primoz is a full on class person. Excellent interview as well.
thanks!

I always wondered if Primoz could have been better than Poagacar if he had started cyclin from a young age like Pogacar

Roglic is not unlucky, he gets to live a better life than most. He must of felt pretty crap after that question. Handled it like a champ.

Have a think about your strategy and tactics within the Tour de France 2025. How can I avoid crashes? Position in peloton? You can win.
Top riders used to help others in the Team to win in prep for the major races. I think a lot of crashes happen at the front of the bunch these days. Trying to fish for controversial Tadej comments didn't really work.
It's called asking questions people are curious about, not fishing or baiting.

Amazing interview for an amazing rider. However someone eventually has to ask this guy WHY he thinks he bonked 2020, it’s still a mystery
Primoz is due a very large slab of luck in 2025..............such a class act.
He ducks some questions.
overall, he's great and made for a good conversation.
He will remember pithies name when he sees woet v art being shoved into the ditch in the lead out to a final climb.

He has different talents from ski jumping, he learned how to crash and to reset his dislocated shoulder by the road 😉 but also the back injuries that still haunt him
Maybe his crashes are a result of bike riding seeming easier than ski jumping and he doesn’t concentrate as much?

He is very interesting. Not native english speaker, so some things doesn’t explain in depth. But he is not sone ego-trip.
