I hope you've been doing well, it's almost like my Rewatch of the boss and area rankings summoned you. Unfortuntately I'll have to skip watching this until my PS5 arrives as I have the game on my desk but not console to play it on!
@@anutternonce5858 I just kept getting him stuck behind the metal plates that drop everwhere. He wasn't able to do much from there while I unloaded on him lol.
Is the sexy voice thing a joke that just went over my head? He sounds like the biggest beta-male neckbeard I've ever heard in a video game. Like I guarantee you the reason Demitrescu hates him so much is because he kept tipping his hat at her and calling her "m'Lady"
You don't actually have to run away while waiting for the elevator. The door opens up just in time. Whether that's intended or not I can't tell, cuz the baby kind of teleports further away when you hop in.
Well said mate I love the atmosphere and the vibes when you enter Donna's house it feels like Silent Hill definitely one of my favorite villains in the series.
One thing I will say about Heisenberg, his boss fight is hilariously difficult on Village of Shadows mode. You can’t heal, he deals enough damage to kill you in two hits, and you need to time and hit your rockets perfectly because you’re not going to whittle down his weak points on time to interrupt him. Funny how the STAKE can easily fend him off when the mini tank can’t
4:53 It's clear that you never played the higher difficulties against him. You still take damage when you block, and you will die if you take 3 hits from him by doing so (2 if you don't block). To avoid this, you should use your cannon when he charges you, since it staggers and pushes him back a bit.
I watch so many DeMod videos of games I haven't played. I would probably watch DeMod ranks marsupials worst to best or DeMod ranks the numbers 1-14 from worst to best.
I'm pretty sure that Miranda was based off mergo's wet nurse from bloodborne...She has many similar attacks, especially the one where she dives forward and her almost rib-like arms stab collapse inwards, as well as the lights-out sort of phase. I mean they're two different fights and the similar attacks and appearance sort of stood out to me a lot
0:45 Just like El Gigante before him Uriaş's name means giant in the settings language , in this case Romanian and his name is actually pronounced U-reé-ash ( the "s" in his name is the Romanian letter "ş" , which sounds like shh ) ; and the latter version that Chris faces , the Uriaş Străjer ( Giant Guardian ) is prononced U-reé-ash Strágh-jer
Same I loved Village, just felt it was an overall better game than 7 including the dlc. I've played through 7 a second time with VR too didn't change my opinion.
For Miranda I found that if you use a flash bang grenade after she goes into her stealthy form (when all of the lights go out) it immediately knocks her out of the phase. I have only tested this once by accident so I can't speak on if it's an actual mechanic or if my timing was just good but it's certainly worth a shot.
Main House, Old House were absolutely terrifying. Donna was scary but since you're just running away it's not very scary it feels more like Outlast but nowhere near as scary.
Outlast was only scarier because you never have the chance to fight back. The whole time in the doll house I was running thru it waiting to get my guns back and destroy the babything. It’s the knowledge and anticipation that you can get your guns back ( blind playthru, but now we know you dont get your guns back at all) that makes doll house not as scary.
I honestly don't understand why everyone creamed their pants on that bit, like yeah I get its a mild shock how it appears but come on man, there's been waaayyyy scarier stuff in games in the past that puts that to shame
Though mine varies slightly, I respect your ranking. I was surprised to see Donna Beneviento so high up there but after your rationale, you might have even sold me. That whole house melted me, and I do think it was really well done.
One of the things I hope is that he will do Yakuza one day. It has some incredible good made bosses in my opinion and would love to see his perspective in that regard
the tension of the blood fetus on subsequent playthroughs is lessened all the more when you realize that it can't actually reach you before the elevator arrives and you step inside it, triggering the cutscene
@@songbird6414 when you hit the button to call the elevator, it will always look like the fetus is going to reach you and kill you, but I have literally walked backwards into the elevator while facing it on multiple playthroughs, and it has never been able to grab me before I was on the elevator and the doors closed

It’s nice to see you back Demod which game are you gonna talk about next? You could return to Nioh 2 it had some DLCs added and some bosses got changed
Donnas section is my favourite in the whole game solely because it was the most traumatizing section I’ve ever played in a horror game since I didn’t have the privilege of playing p.t and I will never forget that baby monster even if I wanted to
I am glad to see another of your vids on my feed. I hope you feel better man and thanks for another awesome boss ranking. I loved Re8 and hope they keep the duke or something akin to him for 9. The new game + features were wonderful and made replaying the game so much fun. 😃
It speaks to the quality of the baby section that 10 playthroughs later i still panic even when i know what to do. "What if it goes the other way this time, what if i go too fast and run into it in the hallway." I'm always sweating buckets when i do that part. Fun fact you can just wait at the elevator door until it opens. The baby will never reach you in time. Now being brave enough to just stand there is harder than anything you ever do in this game but hey thats the fun
I can't handle horror very well but just the size and atmosphere of Donna's house gave me chills the second i saw it. I played that entire chunk of the game as if it was R6 peaking every corner and taking my sweet ass time and to make it worse my friend who had watched the game on yt was like "Just you wait it gets worse" the entire time
Can you blame him? The entirety of House Beneviento's Set-piece is the scariest part of the game, the Boss itself may be easy, but it was certainly intentional, not having you fight Donna in a proper fight
During my first playthrough, I panicked so much from the giant baby that I didn't think to dive to the side room and just pressed myself against the elevator praying for it to hurry up. Which actually worked, there seems to be enough time for you to slip inside to barely avoid the thing. I still wouldn't put it as #1 myself simply because subsequent playthroughs made the whole experience a chore since the suspense was no longer there.
The Doll House is the reason, I’ve only played the game through once… I finished lady D’s castle for a second time and then realized that I didn’t want to go through that again…
Heisenberg Is my favorite boss, it just felt like the perfect boss for the end. He was the best by far, I personally hated the end boss, just felt kinda stupid and disappointing compared to Heisenberg and hell dimitrescu. She was just kinda eh to me, not really good enough when we had just fought probably the most climatic boss yet. I also feel like story wise it wasn’t as impactful as it should’ve, I wish we saw her more so this could feel more Worth it

Putting Donna at the top? Your reasoning of including the entire house makes sense, yet most only include chasing Angie around that's usually why people put her low on their lists.
Anyway, great to see you back Demod!
Donna's "fight" may be easy, and may not have been executed very well, but it's clearly an intentional choice, the House Beneviento section of the game plays by different rules to the rest of the game, it only makes sense that the Boss of House Beneviento is exactly the same, although one thing that might make this Boss harder is if her hiding spots were different for each Difficulty setting
