I saw To The Grave at the end of last year with Carnifex and thought they were great, but once Dane started talking about animal rights on stage, I was intrigued. That’s something very important to me. My friend literally got a picture of me standing there BEAMING at the stage. After their set I immediately went to their merch booth get a shirt, and then I talked to Dane for a few minutes about being plant based. He gave me a hug and was so kind. Funny now that he says the convos at the merch booth could be draining because he was so friendly. 😂 What an amazing band, they made a huge fan out of me right away.
Love and much respect to the band for speaking out against animal cruelty, especially in deathcore. I wish more people would speak up about it and inform. It's common in Hardcore, but not that much in metalcore and deathcore and I think it's a really important topic.
@@sbrosier2383 A study from the Journal of Agricultural & Environmental ethics on crop production deaths shows that meat eating kills up to 150x more animals than eating plants. Try again dude.

I saw that To The Grave was touring with Carnifex so I decided to check them out and I’m so glad I did. They’re so awesome and definitely one of my new favorite bands. Keep it up guys!

About 2 weeks later Carnifex announced the tour and I lost my shit. Got to catch them in Columbus, got a pic with Dane and picked up some merch. These guys are legit as fuck.

Garza should definitely get The Black Dahlia Murder to come on the podcast. Now that they're soon gonna be releasing a new album, and have a solid lineup after Trevor's passing. RIP Papa Trev 🤘
Bro I would NEVER not clean my plate or take it as leftovers. Mostly the former, but I also love leftovers and will be devastated if I dont eat them in time. I didn't even really grow up poor or anything, just have a deep love and respect for food.

22:11 that is just great notion 🙌 Because I've actually wondered how is it possible that every band that comes from Australia is almost always way better than most of the bands from everywhere else...
the big thing that got me into TTG was the "many men wished death and now we tread on them" line being (maybe?) a Many Men reference. then I heard the Dracarys line in Shock Tactics and was like okay these guys are clever.
I was thinking the same yesterday. I asked a friend which is in contact with TGG and apparently he is. But they ( person is nonbinary) doesn't know any other detail and is unsure. Maybe he's sick or something... idk
I'm so glad Simon has come around to veganism. I was greatly surprised and disappointed to be honest to find out he was not vegan while in the band. Easily one of my favorite bands of the last half century.
The real problem is food waste. What they were talking about with having enough food for 12 billion people, the rest of it is being thrown away. Employees are forced to throw out so many pounds of food each day & that's only at one restaurant. Adding up all of the different food places in just the US equals an insane amount of food wasted each and every day. That food could easily be given to homeless etc. The employees aren't even allowed to get it out of the trash, if they wanted to or they risk being fired.. even if they were to do it off the clock, on their own time. The laws surrounding that make no sense.
I am a dog lover........I used to think metal and politics should never mix. I am more of an old hardcore punk guy but I love a lot of black metal and some death metal/death core. I do respect you're speaking out for what you believe, that being said- I have no problem with someone hunting food and using the animal for food. If I ever caught someone in the woods shooting a deer and leaving it lay for the mount ONLY the head to mount I might just beat the fuck outta them if not worse. That thing about the chickens is fucked mate.........I had no idea they did that to the poor little males. It's a lot to think about. I guess I should finish by saying, I'm not against carnivores but I am against stupidity and ignorance and especially downright cruelty. Keep up the good fight boy's....we may not agree on some details but I respect what your doing.

Obviously it's all very subjective, but I've tried many dairy alternatives and they're fucking trash. The closest I've come is "edible". Nothing can compare to real, well-made ice cream. Sorry.
Hunting is conservation and needed. Respect these dudes but they are uneducated on ethical hunting. You can live in a city and go hunting once or twice a year and harvest enough meat to hold you all year long.
Lol.. these guys make me laugh. They sit there and say "There's other solutions right in front of our face" yet they don't have any.. without hunting, comes the overpopulation of animals which literally leads to the extinction of species. Overhunting is also still an issue, it's not a perfect solution but just the right amount of hunting is required, weather it's for food or not.
