Bit of a different video today everyone! I spent several weeks putting together something non-horror game themed that I was really passionate about making. Let me know if you'd like more videos like this in the future from time to time.
Well, he might need to change his name then. But in seriousness though, I'm a little disappointed because this is the channel to go to for all horror games. To be fair, this video is still spot on, detailed explanation and cool show and tell style like all his video, just, well, I mean that's me. Need to make a little adjustment.
17:12 That one Astro is really giving heavy metal😂 The happy dance after defeating the dinosaur is adorable! As well as many things in this game I suppose))
I loved it so much! You might be Super Horror Bro, but that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate other kind of content. As long as you’re happy with it, and it looks like it, we are here for the ride
I liked this a bit of a relaxing change from analyzing horror games to just research the PS5 and others I like this and would enjoy seeing some more videos like this in the future
I've always wanted you to branch out from horror videos, as I really love your video style and vibe, so I'm all for this! I would love to see you go through the Cult in Night in the Woods, theories about Firewatch, any Nintendo games, or just more videos about games you're passionate about, like Astro! Great work as always
I've been wanting to make a video of the Astro/Playroom series for a while and I'm happy to see other covering it. Definitely one of the most unappreciated Sony mascots
If you haven't done this already you can try starting a new game and getting all of the achievements Which is really fun and takes a little longer than Just playing the game normally
I played Astro's Playroom as my 3rd Playstation 5 game. First was Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales, which Insomniac really did a great job and I 100% it in 3 days. Second was God Fall, where I was interested in the story but stopped playing after the first level because I got bored and haven't touched it since. And Astro's Playroom third and I believed that game was the game to use the PS5's capabilities. I even 100% it I might just go back and revisit it. Plus I love these kinds of videos a lot so maybe you may make more in the future.
This notification actually jumpscared me lmao Mike uploading something not related to horror is actually pretty scary Really, I was not expecting this but I'll certainly enjoy this :D
I remembered seeing, in the collection room, two Astros digging through a pile of games and started crying a bit. I saw myself and my cousins, around maybe 6-7 years old, at my aunt's house, trying to decide which game to play on her ps1. I miss those days so much! 😢❤😊 Also, didn't Spyro the Dragon show up in the GPU jungle?
Many people slept on this amazing free launch game, what i saw here was nothing but talent effort and passion, one of the best ps5 games that fully ultilized the console imo.
I'd be down for more content like this. I love your reflective dives into games and stories, so having more options to do that sounds like a fun idea. Of course, whatever you want to do is most important. Dont burn yourself out or make content just because people are asking for it.
When I played Astro's playroom I was so taken aback by just how simple and fun it was. Cuz I've grown up with every era of Playstation, this had such a Zen vibe to it. When Astro Bot was announced I was so excited because it was more of the same thing which is what all of us who loved it, wanted. Fact that they updated the playroom game to include new content with a secret room and portal just has such an air of synergy that just continues to delight. It's hard to describe it but this game and now series, just brings me back to being a kid with that sense of grand wonder and feeling of everything we've played being all interconnected.
would love this for a large amount of games not new ones only but also for old ones as well. i really enjoy lore explaining videos it makes the game more interesting to play
This is a nice change from all the horror. I've owned the PlayStation 5 for less than a year, and Astro's Playroom was the first thing I played before anything else. I've never had so much fun in a video game before. And that's saying a lot from someone who's played dozens of games off of several platforms.
As someone who's currently playing through Astro Bot's first game on the PSVR on the PS4, I can confirm this is a brilliant video, brilliant work mate ❤
I really like Astro's Playroom mostly because of the nostalgia that's scattered almost everywhere within the in-game world! That said, I am interested seeing you play non-horror games as well, or make an in-depth analysis like this one~!
I’d love to see a full fleshed out Astro game. I played this a lot while recovering from a major surgery and it has a special place in my game library.
I watched my dad play this game! I completely forgot until now, thank you for bringing back those memories. Also, I love this kind of video. Pls fo it more.
Every PS5 owner needs to play this first before anything else. This game is perfect. The gameplay is very unique on every level, the attention to detail is great and showcasing the DualSense controller in a fun way is clever.
Astro's Playroom was the first thing i ever played on my PS5, and boy am I glad i got to experience it. One of my favorite games that i could just relax to some days, and really go hard on others. It was also so much fun to check everything out in the meuseum. Everything was so detailed, it was aparent how much care and love was put into every little bit.
This made me so happy, It reminds me how much my brother asks me to help him with these stages. He's OBESSED and I'm glad one of my favorite UA-camrs shares an interest with my baby brother 😭💗
If I could've afforded a PS5, this would've made me so happy.......I kind of hope Astro ends up Playstation's Mario/Sonic, like, marketing-wise, they're such cute little dudes! Videos branching out like this are really fun, I would love more of these! :D
I honestly like G.P.U Jungle's theme because it has a welcoming yet adventurous vibe to it, and not to mention the theme also gives of the feeling that the level is the final threshold before you step into a much bigger Omnivures.
Your voice is rather calming, and it really helps me focus. Any game you cover I will happily listen to while trying to focus at work! I would love to see you do more than horror as the new horror games have been a little mid and for you to cover games you love and like to play! ^^ ✨
yes yes! i have wanted this for a long time, you have too much skill to just use it for horror games! i would also like an seperate channel that you upload these essay-esque for other games! keep it up😁
Who cares if it's different from the usual content. A channel needs to spice itself up one way or another by doing something different. Something like this every once in a while, would be fine by me. This was a great video to watch
I must say this was an unexpected video to see uploaded to your channel, but I welcome it with open arms I will say Astro's Playroom is a great PS5 tech demo and a brilliant full game even if you're going or not going for 100% if you are or not a PlayStation fan yourself! (I would like to see more of these in the future as like breaks inbetween your usual horror content and with that cheerio for now Mike and I'll see you on the next one!)
I'm literally gonna watch any video you post because I absolutely love the way you make them and the way you explain things! So yes, please keep posting non-horror themed content as well as your normal content!
I was so excited for your second channel that would cover more games like these but noticed it never took off. I would be thrilled if you continued making videos like this on the main channel.
I'd like more of this kind of videos as well! I love watching the horror content you always bring but hearing you covering non-horror related content its also amazing, perhaps its because I enjoy every content you bring but wherever the reason, if its something you would like to bring to the channel I don't mind, I love the idea.
I was so suprised when this popped up in my notifications! I've been a huge fan of Astro since I first saw the Playroom demo. It's actually what made me want a PS5 lol. I'd love to see more content like this from you, I definitely think you have a good "Essay Video" voice. And it'd be cool seeing you discuss more games your passionate about!
We love your essay-style videos ❤ And while some naggers might complain, please continue making content that makes you happy Yes, you’re a staple of the horror gaming section of YT and your essay-style videos help many people approach horror games they would never play themselves (myself included, I would never play most of the games 😅) However, we’re here not *just* for the content niche but for the content by you and as long as you are passionate about what you’re doing, please do it - the content you cover is half the appeal, your style in covering it is the other half You’re awesome, keep going 🎉
I loved this little retrospective it makes me feel even more excited to buy a PS5. Thank you so much for this Mike, I hope you do more retrospectives like this in the future
I’ve been watching since the BATIM 1, you should definitely do more of this sorta stuff as there’s not always a lot of horror themed games to talk about
The way I've always looked at Astros playroom is that it's a love letter to everything PlayStation and PlayStation's fans between the nostalgic feel of the openings of each console to all the Collectibles and references to the Past I actually think that that might be the reason it it was not widely accepted as one of the best experiences you can have on the PlayStation 5 is because there's so many people nowadays that buy consoles just to play Modern games and they're not actually lifelong PlayStation fans or even remotely know anything about the history of the PlayStation
This is amazing! I love the horror explained videos you make! they are always so spooky and fun but this video is such a breath of fresh air I absolutely love it🌟it would be amazing to see more games like it
A shopping centre near us had a psvr bacl in the day, and everytime my parents went shopping, I went too, just to play it. I was sad when they got rid of it
I never played the game, mainly cause I thought astro was just some mascot and not an entire game, so I'm surprised to find out there was such a history connected to it. Really liked the video hope you keep it up :)
I'd love to see some coverage of non-horror games on this channel! It feels like a very nice and welcome change of pace and atmosphere on the channel that I would like to see more of

Loved this video format, my one critique is that I feel like it would work possibly better if you mixed your thoughts in with the overview a bit more? Just a thought. Otherwise I really loved your energy in this one, could really tell how much you enjoyed the game mike :)

I would love to see more🔥🔥🔥🔥
So you’re going to take a one-video break on the upcoming horror games, theories and the release date for Poppy Playtime chapter 3?
You should play rainbow friends.
i love this game, this video was so good and you never fail to disappoint!
Glad you aren’t only making horror game videos. I would love more videos like this every month!
Well, he might need to change his name then. But in seriousness though, I'm a little disappointed because this is the channel to go to for all horror games. @@benjamintan2733it's just a bit deppresing for you job to revolve around (a lot of) dead kids in a game.
a super pleasant surprise!! hearing your typical narrative script in the context of non horror games is interesting and id love to see more!
I'm glad that other people love astro's playroom,it was one of my favorite games.

I love the more passion project attribute to this video, just know that we love to hear about it! Great video!
The PS2 boot up sound gave me such a big hit of nostalgia! That was great!
Finally, Astro’s Playroom gets the recognition it deserves
I guess his mind needed to take a break from playing horror due to how traumatized it is.
