Bottom Load for the win!
Great tips, very detailed explanation and great knowledge.
Great detail video. Thank you so much for the tips !
Great video Ralph always good stuff!
I wish you were around here to tint my car. You sure seem like a perfectionist and I like that. Take the time and do it right! That's exactly how I tackle my projects.
Thank you: I’m struggling on this so hopefully I can use these tips.
Great video !
Great videos! what are stands made of that hold your doors in the tint studio?
great demonstration!
thanks RALPH
This guy makes it look so easy.
Great detail
Great video.
Best videos bro
Where do you buy the roller the tint is on when you cut your piece ?
I tend to pull the sweeps then bottom load. Most seals come right out.
We never used spray bottles , had a 5 gallon mini keg and drilled a hole in the lip for a valve stem to pressurize it. Could go all day without a refill
Those are very popular now
good video
When you installed it, I saw the pattern fold back where you created a creasing point in the center!
What is the best solution used for cleaning windows if u do not want 2 scrape with razor blade. Is there a certain mixture of alcohol to water ratio used 2 clean windows with alone with scrub pad. Self taught so still learning watching the videos are amazing man u got skills
He said he uses pre tack. Mostly iso alcohol.
Why skip out on that finger boulder @27:00 ther was no way to correct that during the process? You had to re-adjust the film out camera view correct? Good video by the way
Yup i was wondering if anyone else's saw that that wasn't going anywhere.
Very informative videos! Great how you explain what your doing every step of the way👌🏽 your videos got me doin better work then some people I’ve seen that been doin it for years
Hey Ralph, just today i got my Gasket Wizard that i ordered from you, there's nothing out there showing it's use and talking about it, would be a great item to review.
Tim Quinn
Good idea. I will do something with it. Thanks.
isnt it easier to remove door panel to avoid peeling off?
u never said what other slip solution u would use instead of baby shampoo?
Ralph what do you think of EBay Tint Pre-cut ?
Mick Y
It depends on where the film was manufactured. Does the seller on Ebay disclose what brand of film they are cutting?
Never tried bottom loading looks difficult ☹️
Your my hero Ralph. You going to SEMA?
Brian Moehr
Yes sir
Ralph Van Pelt see You there bud
Brian Moehr
Absolutely
RALPH NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I CLEAN THE WINDOW ISTILL GET CONTAMINATION IN MY TINT, WHAT IM DOING WRONG HELP
31:59....I see three dots in the quarter window, is that contamination? Or a water spot that will dry up? Then again I don't remember Ralph tinting a quarter window in this video. What is happening here
Water drops on the inside of the glass from tinting the other glass I did not wipe off.
@@FlexFilmPlus thanks for responding Ralph, have a great weekend!
Go live please broooo!!!!!
Where do you get good microfiber towels do you wash them first???
JBIRD575
I get them at home depot. I wash them but do not dry them. Let them dry natural.
Ralph Van Pelt ok thanks Ralph no lint on them??
JBIRD575
Almost lent free
Ralph Van Pelt ok thanks ralph!!
Have you ever tried the gasket wizard?
Jake Graham
Yes. I have also tried modified gasket wizard with a handle.
Ralph buddy i got a good next video for you.... How do you feel about tinting on top of already tinted window one with window film already installed how to tint on top of them also examples of like tinting 35% On top of 20% equals whatever it equals or 20% on 20% equals whatever that equals so forth and so forth I think that would be a great video
jesus melendez
Thank you for the suggestion. I may already have this video. Let me know if this helps... here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/MSwyNuxyjcc/v-deo.html
Top loading beats bottom loading all day , one day someone will come up with side loading
Jack Kim bottom loading is only good when gaskets or door panels are pulled...but one guy mastered it with panels on name is Rick Tallman I think...
Bottom looks easier less chance of screwing up the last minute.
Sometimes u need have no option especially with those deep side seals
I didn't know there was a name for this method. I only use it on frameless doors and doors that have the panels pulled. I wouldn't recommend this particular method you showed here because even with your years of experience that tint was fighting you because there wasn't enough slip solution below the gasket and with framed doors it can become problematic especially if tint in a warm climate where seconds count.
Call Rick your bud he is a master bottom loader!!
Fuck Rick, shut up and listen, idiot
@@jimmyjhonson4590 nice haha bless u sir
14:30
I'm a bottom loader :)
Why does the dryer make towels lint??
From the other clothes it has been drying.
@@FlexFilmPlus makes sense I have been just washing them with hot water by hand and letting them air dry working like new..fluffy...
You forgot to say to never use carbon fiber on glass because it will scratch it easily. Only use it for top edge or on a glass board but never on the glass that you are tinting.
Check email
The guy I go to said that bottom loading / tucking the tint causes lint so he won't do it. Has anyone ever heard of this causing "lint" or he he full of shit? Thanks
Well... if you know what you are doing, it does not cause lint. Here is a video of me in the World tint off competition tucking film and other crazy stuff but I was able to have the highest score with the best time among the worlds best installers. ua-cam.com/video/so-bp3VpSuI/v-deo.html
You talk too much
