Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

The two components the need to be tightened both tighten in opposite directions and wear in opposite directions, so as the system wears you're going to have to hope that you can fudge the adjustment until it's worn enough to remove a link. I predict that you'll need to modify in an adjuster to the rear idler.

I made a ski to replace front wheels on bicycles and found the steering works best if the tail of the ski ends where the wheel would otherwise hit the ground. In other words, chop the ski off under the forks for the best handling. I could touch my handlebars to the snow making turns with my wheelski prototype. It also rotated to about 20 degrees in the front to follow the moguls and floated freely between flat and full incline. Frank Wadleton was making the final version but he ended up closing down and my wheelski never got produced.
You should try it. The bike will handle amazing if you shorten the ski

That nickname absolutely needs to stick. It’s perfect. It’s like a compliment and an insult all in one. So funny. And I don’t mean like a real bad insult. I mean a funny between friends insult. It can be ether lol.

You should extend the seat to get over the track a little more and make it more comfortable
