  • Back out on a beautiful winters morning but cut off by the tide we have to cover lots of extra miles to get to our hunting grounds this week, but it was all worth it for the lovely things we found. Thanks for watching all the best, GL&HH, Bottles and Blisters. Weekly uploads Sunday 6pm.

The metal piece is off the bottom of an old fishing reel. The rounded part follows the curve of the reels side plate, and the straight parts fit under the rings that fasten it to the fishing rod. Regards from Maryland, U.S.

The dunes in the area are giving up a lot at the moment, the further Hemsby has been driven back the more common it is to find interesting bits around there.
In the summer there were lots of drinks cans and general bits from the 80's emerging. A couple of weeks ago it was a vast mix but didn't spend too long searching due to the tide coming in.
I believe there was quite a lot of fossilised wood from the bed disturbed in the Wash during storms earlier in 2023, Hunstanton especially saw quite a lot washed up around that time.
Good little collection you got there, look forward to seeing more of your finds in the future.

You're doing well for firsts of 2024. Especially like the jet and fossil wood and toy as always. The bottles are a nice selection and you must be well pleased with that jumbo toothpaste jar (I wonder if that was military issue or something as it's plain with no brand name). Meanwhile over here I found my first mountain top golf ball of 2024, lol. Have a good week!

Hello hope your keeping well, not doing to bad so far, weathers been properly horrible tho, could possibly of been an army issue tooth paste as its near army accommodation from ww2, we find a few stray gold balls here, they get everywhere like rats! 😅

Hello 👋🏻 Conner & Kerry I know all about the wind it’s been causing havoc around here in the United States 🇺🇸 as well. I was near the beach today and the winds and rough sea water was really churning towards the beach. I live in Southern New Jersey and it is bad.
You did so well with all of your beautiful bottles, jet and paste pot. I hope you get more amazing finds when you go out again!
The orange fruit was a grapefruit, many people love them except me lol 😂 they are to tart 🥴 Have a wonderful week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

    Probably coal rather than jet.

Is that really jet? I was always told that was solidified tar…

It passes the rub test so yess! We also find coal along here in abundance but when you rub coal on white paper it leave a black line whereas jet leaves a brown line! But they are both fossilised trees and vegetation essentially.
