I have the same speedo drive gearbox and found that the inner cable was too long for it. I didn't want to cut the cable. There's not a lot of threads in either end so i made 2 nylon spacers to effectively lengthen the outer cable by, I think, 5mm. It works ok. The speedo reads 10% over compared to GPS speed though.
That's a good idea. I've got some nylon bar. The last time I put a cable on that was too long, it displaced a gear in the chronometric speedo. So kind of critical length wise.
You have the early speedo drive unit which may not suit the new cable ! A bummer with the gearbox oil leak, I always replace the bush every time as it wears where it passes through the clutch seal. Do you have insulating spacer fitted to the carb ?
If you still have pickup from idle problems then modify the slide as follows: With a half round file, file a 1.25mm deep crescent in the centre of the flat part of the slide to create a kind of micro venturi around the tiny pilot jet holes. It cures poor pickup from idle and fussy low speed running. I've used this successfully on my T90 and T25T concentric mk1s and my brother's T140D concentric mk2s. I haven't tried it on a Monobloc but I expect it will work.
I always forget what those nuts are called just checked Aerotight nuts

Sounds brilliant.........

It looks and sounds fantastic, mate. Give yerself a big pat on the back. You not gonna use your dad's points cover???
I'll get some shorter screws. 👍
Shame about the main shaft oil leak, but glad it's not stopped you getting out and enjoying it in this weather. 👍🏻
Its only tiny. Nothing to concerning.
